Eye thank stoppin' tha dive and tha TE dump pass iz two.... :roflol:

I have always liked West's offense. They bring it right at the opponent's defense. The dump pass is very difficult to defend when you have to key on the dive virtually every play.

South had problems with the dump pass. Austin Sowell is a big ole boy.

Can someone clarify this void that I keep hearing about. The Freshman and Sophomore classes are loaded with talent. The 8th grade team is supposed to be pretty good as well. Have any of you been to the practices...??? Many of the comments I have heard are off board but the loss of the one player who told the staff that he was a receiver only is not a back breaker, sure he is good but with an attitude like that he might play for the middle school but not the high school. I realize that I do hear a lot of negativity from those folks whose kids have moved on to post HS life.

If West can utilize the TE dump pass and open up a little extra room to run, I can see this being one heckuva game.

Is the game @ West or @ Maryville?

I really don't agree.

A TE pass/dump for the most part is a third down mid yardage play. Man coverage slows it down. The real key is to force the QB to dump it early. Hence, the TE can't get up the field to far because he is looking for a seam between the LB's & CB's. I do agree opening up some room to run is a good thing to do, but don't think the ole' dump pass is the only thing that will do it.

I agree the GQ O will be better this week and they proved they could score on Alcoa. Problem was the D could not get them the ball enough.

Coach C from West is a good play caller, but there are none better than GQ. But if the players on the field don't execute, he can do very little. West will be ready but Maryville will use this game for a gut check and regain some respect they might think has been lost.

I believe in "The Program" even with some of the coaches GQ does not have on the sideline any longer. I think that is a factor we MHS fans need to address at some point in the season as it is a factor in my opinion that may prevent the Rebels from gaining another berth in the SC.

Well someone has already beat me to my yearly prediction on this game. But let me say it again, "I'm going with the Rebels in this one" :roflol:

Alcoa peeps I don't think you all will beat everyone like you did Maryville. I just think you all wanted it more. In my opionion, Maryville is down..

Relax Grey.....nobody is talking about the Sophomore or Freshman class....nor the eighth graders.
