chsfootball person why don't you stay off of coacht until the season is over and take care of your season. When your season is over then do some talking because all your doing is letting your mouth over load your actions. If you do play for claiborne like you said then just stay silent and let others do the talking and you do the playing.

So can someone tell me what happened at the Gibbs game? Read the KNS piece and it sounds like they just flat ran over, under and through your D.

Yeah that's pretty much what happened barb. But it was kind of misleading...CG would play good for a couple of plays then give up the big play. Blown assignments and missed tackles. I was very disappointed with the panthers in that game because it appeared that they laid down. We're not very deep and our lack of offense that night didn't help the d out much either. It appears that the coaches have gotten that out of them though since that game. We are a young team and make young team mistakes. CG's defense has had it's moments, both good and bad, this season. I just hope they can eliminate the big plays and third down conversions the rest of the year...especially this week!

How much size on the line?

The two guards, as mr. chs stated, are about 300, the center is 260ish, and the 2 tackles are not big but quick. They are around 220-230 i would guess. And unlike mr. chs states, the two guards do more than fall on the ground. The o-line has been pretty solid for the most part this year. The d-line...well, has had it's ups and downs. And as for mr. chs, you should be worrying about west greene and not CG. You dont play us for another week...so save your crap talk for then. I'm sure all CG is worried about is Greeneville this week and not Claiborne and it's #8 state ranking, which will not hold up after this week if you overlook west greene. Now, barb, what can you tell us about the G'ville fronts?

Not Barb but I'll pitch in. Our O-line has definitely had their ups and downs, but Coach Ballard formed a second o-line that has gotten the job done every time they've been on the field. And as I'm sure you've read or heard our d-line is hard to beat, big and quick. Our special teams gets the job done as well. Should be a good game, looking forward to the trip.

Thanks for the info jones. Yes i've read about your d-line and that has me nervous for the guys! lol CG's special teams have been, like everything else it seems this year, up and down. I'm hoping it's a good game and that CG can at least give the devils a battle! I know they'll play their butts off against them, but sometimes that just ain't enough. CG will need a lot of things to go their way for them to pull this one off...i do, however, expect it to be a competitive game! We are looking forward to having you guys down as well! Be safe!

Dang Jrod, I may have to come up on Thursday night now just to have time to eat at all those places. I have this gut feeling that this just might be a good game. I really do hope so.

I'll give Greeneville#1 credit for being our biggest horn blower, but this just ain't the year to be that hopeful. We have a good team, but not a great team. No where near last year's or the year before. There's a very vital element missing, but I'm not going to expose that on coacht. No, its not coaching nor a particular position or player. Its an abstract that is not present yet on this year's team. But, there's still some regular season left and we'll just have to see what falls in place before playoff time. IMO, depending upon how several pieces come together, next year and the next may be the Devil's best opportunity in the near future at a state run. But, that's down the road. Let's wish for a good, hard-nosed, injury-free game this week. I'm sure both teams will play their hearts out. Now, let's talk about that pizza and those wings.

Jrod is right...for once! lol The Oasis has great pizza and wings...and if you're not with the kids...some postgame beverages!! lol Haymaker's is really good (right behind hardee's in harrogate), Heavy's Off The River, fantastic bbq!!!! (It's in a hole in the wall type of place right across the street from Hardee's and in between Shoney's and a gas station...can't miss it) And down in Cumberland Gap...Webb's Country Kitchen is some great down home cookin!!! (Stay on 25E towards middlesboro and tunnel, turn right heading towards VA, and take first or second left and it's down in there somewhere...lol...not hard to find your way in or out of the gap!! lol) There are also some chain places in middlesboro which is about 10 min on up the road. I've kinda got a feeling this is gonna be a good game as well. CG will definitely have to play their best game of the season in order to compete though. That's just the way it is. Hope you guys enjoy your time in our little town...not much to offer, but there are some good little places to eat and some good people and some pretty good football as well!!!!
