Well, the title of this thread looks a bit silly, now doesn't it?

I agree--it looks ABSOLUTELY silly, and awfully arrogant!

 

As an avid supporter of all Memphis-area teams... that is precisely why I IMMEDIATELY took issue with Mitchell fan, "HighSchoolKing" (the originator of this thread)--from the very instant that I spotted the title of this thread!

 

Sometimes the less said the better. BTW, just wondering, but I've observed that highschoolking has not posted a postgame comment or two? He was pretty eloquent and post happy in the week leading up to the game. I'm really looking forward to his insight into the outcome of the game.

Beech scored 50! ... good call HSK. Man ... Mitchell only scored 6 points in the first half because of 2 INT's and a fumbled kickoff return in the firsthalf that Beech took advantage of. Beech does what a good team does in those instances ... they made points out of those Mitchell turnovers. That isn't what did Mitchell in however. Mitchell's 'D' continually stacked the line of scrimmage on defense and NEVER stopped Beech from marching down the field. AGAIN ... Beech scored 50!

 

Congratulations Beech. That is a tremendous running game.

No seriously though, I am eating crow because of the thread. However, that is the only thing that I said that was incorrect. I did state that if Beech couldn't score 40 points then there was no need to show up because Mitchell scored 42. Hats off to Beech on a tremendous effort tonight. Our defense was horrible, I mean I knew we had some issues but never seen anything like that. It was indeed a shootout and worth the price of admission. Once again congrats to Beech, now go win it all !

JodyJoe is still here and won't be leaving. I got it wrong with this game, but got the White Station game so its all good. Mitchell will be back next year.
