BEECH BEECH BEECH BEECH......BUCS BUCS BUCS BUCS

Not bad for a bunch of undersized sophs and jrs. All they do is exactly what they did tonight....play their guts out. And here's a little secret that Columbia found out tonight, we can pass the ball as well as run it. Columbia's d was pretty good particularly against the run. You can stop us for a while, but eventually we will get our yards on the ground (274 I think). It's been that way for the last two months. You go comfortably into the 4th thinking you are clearly the better team, and we just continue to pound it down your throat. ANd the next thing you know, games over, we win. Even after the game, you probably think "we were better than them". That's ok, keep thinking that, we got the Gold Ball.

The Columbia qb is a good player, and their receivers are good as well. But looking at the qb's td to int ratio, I had hoped that the Beech secondary could get a few picks. Boy, did they ever. He seemed to get a little rattled when Beech got pressure on him and he chunked it to us 4 times.

Congratulations Bucs. It was an amazing year for a team that didn't even score for the first six quarters it played this year. Coach Crabtree is coach of the year in my book.

CONGRATS BEECH. SHOULD HAVE A GREAT YEAR NEXT YEAR ALSO. NEAL APPEARS TO HAVE GROWN ALOT IN HEIGHT SINCE LAST YEAR AND ABILITY. HE IS SOLID, AS IS THE REST OF THE TEAM. ONE OF THE BIG REASONS BEECH IS SO GOOD IS THAT THEY RARELY TURN THE BALL OVER.

lol wow. i love how it always comes back to the refs on things like this in my honest opinion the refs were terrible (and yes i was at the game) i saw a massive hold right in front of one ref and he didn't even call it while he was looking straight at the guy holding not to mention a few others that didn't get called.

the reasons central lost were plain mistakes that could have been changed very easily for them to make the game harder on beech. 1st was on deep passes by beech the columbia defenders were not even turning around and looking for the ball instead they just kept their eyes on the wr they were covering this cost columbia 2 td's to beech. 2nd was the wing T they couldn't stop it at all and all they had to do to stop it would have been to go to like a 3-4 and have the backs playing wider than they were and two more for the middle. and 3rd. what was with Tate tonight that is the worste game i'v seen out of him all year it almost seemed like he changed his playing style just for this game because it seemed to me that he was sitting in the pocket a lot longer than he normal does by just taging the first open reciever he sees. also it seemed like he tried to scramble a lot more then he ever does at some times it wasn't even needed and he just ran and his interceptions really didn't help any either i think that is the first tim i've seen him picked all year.

that's my thoughts on it feel free to improve on them if wanted

I observed tonight a really exciting game between these two teams. This is one game that you hate to see someone lose. Congratulations to Columbia on an outstanding season. I know your disappointed, but your team is a group of battlers and #30 is a player.

Beech played another tremendous game, as they continued their formula during the playoffs; no turnovers, kept the chains moving and converted points at the end of drives. The coaching staff made the necessary adjustments and the boys executed them. Beech spread the wealth, which IMO, is what made them so effective on offense. A defense couldn't just key on one player and stop them.

IMO, the turning point was the Neal to Cash touchdown pass as the 2nd quarter ended, plus Beech getting the 3rd quarter kickoff and driving it in for a score. Neal stepped up and really displayed his passing ability when Columbia took away the run. The passing lead to the opening up of the run later in the game.

Too many players to praise, but its safe to say this was a TEAM effort. Once again, everyone from sophomores to seniors played large parts in the win. Congratulations to Coach Crabtree, the coaching staff and the Beech Buccaneers!! Thank you for a truly memorable season!

Beech was VERY impressive last night.Columbia is a very good team. The story of the game was the Beech defense creating turnovers,&(I understand they did the same thing against Mitchell)Beech just made more plays and deserved to win.Congratulations to both teams.

at least 2 maybe 3 of those pics were just bad throws, i mean credit to beech for actually catching them, but its not like they really "created it" several of them he didnt have any pressure in the pocket either. but i'll say toward the end there running game did even out, but i still believe central's running game was better. but i guess thats irrelevant, since they lost!

Congratulations to Columbia on a great season. After watching the replay of the game, I was impressed with the way the Columbia players carried themselves before, during and after the game. It is obvious that Coach Belew runs a class program. This was two classy, well coached teams and both schools and communities should be proud of them. Columbia was better than Mitchell, and in my opinion, just as good as Gallatin or Mt Juliet. I can't help but think that Beech's tough district run down the stretch of Gallatin, Hendersonville, Mt Juliet had them a little more battle tested than Columbia. Beech's resiliance has impressed me all year long. Who knows, maybe they will move up to 9th in the mid state poll. I think that is the most you can hope for if you are not from the south side of town or Murfreesboro.

As a former Buccaneer and coach, I just wanted to say congrats to Coach Crabtee, his staff, and the players at BHS. To do what you have done is incredible. You guys have done what many people over many years said could not be done and that was to win the 'big' game. And as a side note, I know that BHS is really in Shackle Island, but isn't it nice that the first state football championship 'in Hendersonville' is in orange and white and not on the other side of the tracks. Go Bucs.

How true.

My prediction is that the title stays in 9-AAA next year as well. Beech and Gallatin return a ton.

Can't wait until week 8 next year.

Congrats again on the win.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
