It was all "young guys" as 6 starters were out due to spring sports. The Owls won 5-1 and looked ok. Hard to tell about the Owls due to so many players out. The attitude, effort and desire to win was

extremely good. Sparta broke a 70 yd TD on the second play and that it for Sparta. The Owls will be very competitive for the next 5 to 6 years.

Also congratulations to the Smith County Baseball team for making it to the finals of their bracket in the HS Baseball State Championship. Now the football team will gladly welcome those guys back.
