LOL, it's still funny. I never doubted that she didn't have nothing wrong with her eye. Maybe next time around she'll drop 60 on us and beat us by 80, whatcha think?

;) ..I doubted it...I know how it is to have your eyes dilated..She was also sick...I can't imagine playing with one eye dilated..That's nuts...

I think her playing that way got her teammates involved alot more....That's not something teams want to see...I would think the good teams would just be content with her shooting the ball all the time...

Her biggest downfall last year was that she shot the ball too much. No disrespect towards Fussell, but the more she sets her team mates up for shots, the better Obion Central is. Her shooting is suspect. She's a streaky shooter. If Obion Co. plays like they did against us, then they will be hard for any team in the state to beat. To be honest, I haven't seen OC play that well in any game within the past 3 years. I'm not saying OC isn't as good as they played the other night, but they just played the game of their lives in beating us. It sure would be nice to see GC versus Westview or Obion Co. for a state championship. Would the Murphy Center be packed out or what?

Yes it would be packed....

I posted last year, in her defense, about the amount of shots she took...Some OC fans didn't like that she did shoot alot...My argument was that no telling how many times she would dish off to a wide open teammate, the ball would either bounce off their heads, hands or just simply miss an easy shot...You do that enough and you lose confidence in your teammates..She did at times take some bad shots..Scorers do that but I'm sure she also felt like she had to try and take over games...All of her teammates are playing with more confidence this year and they are overall a better team than last season..IMO..

I thought it interesting, when you were talking about players taking to many

shots, as well as sometimes bad shots. There is a fine line between a great

player and a HOTDOG. The great players want to do good, win games, and

have a driveing ambition to do this. They know that they have to get their

team-mates involved if they can. Sometimes it is hard to do. I noticed what

you said about the ball bouncing off their heads, their hands, and so forth.

It has been my experience that there are few really good passing teams.

You can't coach it, it is a GOD given ability. So we need to give the good

players a little slack when they don't pass enough to please us. They may

just want to win and are stepping up. You have to catch the ball if you

want to get it. Then hit a shot every once in a while. Just my opinion. :thumb:

Obion Co.'s team wasn't as bad as Purple made them out to be. Not when they played GC anyways. I've said all along, even last year, that if Fussell would pass the ball more, then OC would be just that much better. OC is easy to beat when Fussell chunks up 30 shots a game. All you have to do is get the rebound and beat them back down the floor and get an easy two points. Someone has said something to her this year about passing the ball and you can tell a difference. OC went from a decent AA team to a AA championship contender now.

Probably the coach??..."Someone has said something to her this year about passing the ball and you can tell a difference."

You'll have to explain your first sentence to me...I've never said or implied OC was a bad team....

I've said the same thing over the last couple of years...The Lady Rebels are much better when they have at least three in double figures...If Chassidy has around 20-24 points but has a couple with 12-18 points then they are very tough to beat..All I have done is try to take up for when she does throw up a bunch of shots by pointing out that alot of times when she does make a good pass her teammates haven't exactly been proficient in completing the play...When that happens enough, you tend to stop making that pass until your teammate/s prove they can finish...

Yep. Pretty much exactly what I posted... ;)

Either him or her "trainer", lol.

The way you've stated previously is that none of the players could catch a pass from Fussell. I wish Fussell would throw the ball just a little bit harder and make more turnovers, that way she can shoot the ball more. Fussell, don't you want to average about 35-37 PPG?

Her "trainer" is her assistant coach now.... :thumb:

She's got her major DI scholarship...I don't imagine she cares much about her PPG ....

No doubt about the dialated eye. Had to have an impact on her. Would they have won by more without that situation, who knows and who cares? Makes no difference. Game over. But "the eye" conspiracy can now be laid to rest!! lol

Hey, I've seen some refs with eyes like that! lol

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
