Talk about juggling partial facts. You are correct on some parts. He was a football player. Father lives in Kingsport. He at least legitimately moved in with family here his Sophomore year. Father bought a condo for him to live in as an investment during his Junior year. He has basically been on his own since he was 17. Didn't know it was against TSSAA rules to live on your own. Don't forget to mention kid was a honor student that won Catholic's top student award for overall citizenship. Let's see whose Glass House cracks first...

According to TSSAA standards, as deter- mined by the members of TSSAA, some of the eligibility rules are:

A student must have made a passing grade during the preceding semester in at least five full unit subjects;

A student must be enrolled before the 20th school day of the semester, in regular attendance, and carrying at least five full courses during the present semester;

A student is permitted eight semesters of eligibility beginning with the ninth grade. Junior division students are permitted four semesters of eligibility beginning with the eighth grade;

A student shall be ineligible in high school if he becomes 19 years of age on or before September 1 or in junior high if he becomes 16 years of age on or before August 1

Athletes must live at home with their parents

In order for a transfer student with an athletic record to be eligible at another school there must be a bona fide change of residence by the athlete's parents;

All transfer students must be approved by the Executive Director of TSSAA before participating in any game or contest;

A student whose name is listed on the school eligibility report cannot participate in an independent game or meet until the season has closed in that particular sport. (This does not include golf or tennis)

A registered athlete cannot accept any money for athletic skills in any TSSAA sponsored sport;

An athlete may accept a medal, trophy, high school letter, sweater, shirt, jacket, blazer or blanket for athletic participation but nothing else of commercial value, and these awards must carry the school's letter or other appropriate award emblem;

All expenses to an athletic camp where specialized instruction is offered must be paid by the athlete or his or her parents;

When an athlete is charged tuition to attend a school, it must be paid by the parent or bona fide guardian.

If what you say about his residence is true, every game he played in should be a retroactive forfeit, among other penalties

Didn't bash a church, program or school. Just said the fans were obnoxious. I've taken up for Grace plenty of times along with Coach Lamb and Pridemore.

If we are pointing fingers and asking questions, please address Wannamaker's residence. The other recent violation has already been covered and dealt with by the TSSAA.

Yes all sports should be punished because the school itself was cheating. It's also not the first time. They got in trouble last year for an ineligible player that they brought in from Florida and if the TSSAA wanted to look deeper they could looked at Adrian Wannamaker who also had his tuition paid for by the church. The TSSAA should have just kicked Grace out of the association. They have no regards for the rules, they just want to win.

I find it funny that all the Grace supporters have crawled under a rock and hid. Maybe they now know what others have been saying all along and that is that the Rams are the dirtiest program around. It's kind of like Tennessee football in that Vol fans loved Kiffin and crew while they were here but it didn't take long to realize what scum they were when they were gone. Hopefully Ram fans have realized this and will no longer act like they are better than everybody else when actually they are just taking up for a bunch of cheaters.

Grace needs to clean house. Get rid of everybody in their athletics program and it sounds like the pastor may need to go as well.

Hiring Matt Mercer will help. He's a stand up guy and will do things the right way.

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
