I look for either Tyner or Howard to win it all. They are just too big, too quick and too well coached this year. Just ask York about Tyner... the score was worse than what Tyner did to their own district foes.

We played both Tyner and Maplewood and would have to pick Maplewood over Tyner. Maybe we caught Tyner on a bad day. Maplewood may surprise a few people next week.

Hey coach, what team are you associated with?

Not a high school coach only a fan of CPA.

How can Fulton not be considered the top team of the decade? They have 6 state tournament appearances and are defending back-to-back state champions. They played that Liberty team in the 1st round in 07 and played them tight for a half. The reason Fulton is the team of the decade because its what you have done recently. They have the best player in the state in AA and have 2 state titles in 2 years.

GO FALCONS!!! GET THE 3-PEAT!!!

Which doesn't trump back to back state championships and 7 state tournament appearances by Bolivar. I'd pick Bolivar 1st, Fulton 2nd and Liberty Tech technically 3rd, though they weren't even a school for the first 3 years of the decade and were in 3A for another 2.

well u have a point volmania.. fulton has won the past two titles and hands down have the best ball player in AA ball this season in Jalen Steele but i still think Bolivar is the team of the decade in my opinion with fulton right up there . But i jus think bolivars best teams were better than fultons this past decade.

just for the record Liberty probably would be the team of the decade had they not opened in 2004 and/or moved up to AAA for a year. and hands down their 2007 squad alone wld PROBABLY beat the best squads bolivar or fulton could assemble over the decade

:D I saw the reg. game in 07' that Liberty won(Boliver led most of the game,if I remember correctly),but I did think that L.T. was the better team that year. The previous year though, before Olaijuan Kemp graduated,I'd be hard to convince was not the best AA team,if only slightly(they handled Liberty pretty well that year).Just my humble opinion, not biased in any way.

What's funny about Howard playing Foulton?! That was a tough game against Livingston but they won...ask AE is Howard a pushover...ask Tyner..and if I were Tyner I probably would sit the Cooper kid because they are clicking at the right time...he may mess up the chemistry

I'll ignore the Fulton misspelling but on to AE and Howard.....AE finished 4th in the district. Fulton beat them by 30 twice this year. AE is not the right team to ask about someone being a pushover. This AA State Tourney has no pushovers this year, but they do have the big 3: Bolivar, Liberty, and Fulton. Fulton and Bolivar have experience and that is what will get them to the title game this year.

The way the brackets will play out is that Liberty and Bolivar will get split up and Fulton and Carter will be split up. In my opinion, those could easily be the final four in AA with Wilson and Bennett from Carter playing the way they are. Wilson will win Mr. Basketball next year. Mark my words.

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
