Back to the old playoff system?

I read in the newspaper today that they are thinking about changing the "Z" plan......anyone have any ideas what they might be changing? Or are they going back to the old playoff system?

With so many districts having both 5A and 6A teams, how could it be possible to go back to the old system? Unless they realign the districts, yet again.

They should go to 4 classes. Three doesn't contain the number of playoff games they want and need ($$$), causing the six-class postseason mess, and five spread the regions out too far.

Ideal for the T$$AA would be NO playoff games played at all. Just the fans lining up and throwing $ to them!

 

Anybody else guess that I am fed up with the T$$AA? If anyone else performed in a job the way they do they would have already been FIRED!

The tssaa has just taken on the government approach to dealing with things. If its not broken, fix it until it is. The playoff system was just fine before they began "improving" it.

After this year... I hope we go back to the old scheme taking the top four schools from each region leaving all six classifications in place. This will require drawing new regions...

The simplest system they could do is take the top 2 from each district. However, as I understand it, they are unwilling to have only 3 Division 1 football state championships. Therefore, they'll do whatever garbage they will, I'm afraid. It's a shame.

BurroBall you are right on top of it. If you aren't good enough to be in the top two then you stay at home and get ready for basketball. If we kept it like it is with only the two top teams it would weed out a lot.
