Good luck to the Owls for this game and the rest of the season. Same to the Cubbies for the rest of the season.

The first game it is hard to pick a score but I think SC will when by about 2 TD's (as long as it doesn't rain, of course).

In last years game, CC stacked the defense from tackle to tackle. This of course left the passing game wide open, which we did throw the ball. If it is wet this year, look for the same defense, thinking we will have to depend totally on the run. Better watch out CC

Alright boys and girls....

I fully expect Smith County to take over Ashland City, so get there early Cubs. Scoot, if you're looking for a tailgate, stop by when you go through Hartsville and we'll wet your whistle, give you a wing or two, and send you on your way. Hope it's an injury free game on both sides.

I look for the Owls to come out and get a good tune up for next week....I can't wait!

I'm so looking forward to some OWL football...doesn't matter where we play...it's always home!!! Go OWLS...and I'd like to welcome Coach Johnson to our coaching staff...he's going to be a great asset!!!

;)

I've heard about Coach Johnson ! ! Think having him on-board has brought a tremendous "sneak attack" to the Offense ! Believe OWLS "O" will be as equal strong as "D" !! Well rounded bunch of players and coaches this season lots of depth both ways !! ;););) GO BIG OWLS !!

Well 7, hadn't planned on going thru H'ville to get to CC but I guess I can change my route. Thanks and good luck to the Jackets tonight.

    • Yeah, but if he goes to Science Hill they are guaranteed at least a win over Kingsport and that's basically the NET Superbowl
    • I expect Sevier County might be pretty good, perhaps Mo West as well.     But I don't see either of them getting out of round 2.          The rest of the region gets smoked in round 1.            Except for those once-in-a-blue-moon anomaly years the NET big schools are pretty much the same every season.
    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
