Oakland v. Riverdale

Let's a have a great game and hopefully everyone comes out OK. Very likely these two teams will see each other again in November. Weather should be awesome. Crowd should be great.

 

I'm gonna get there early, have some barbecue, stake out some good seats, and just enjoy the atmosphere. Don't forget that the girls basketball team is selling barbecue in the cafeteria. Avoiding all that traffic and getting somne good barbecue is a pretty good deal.

 

Has Riverdale ever gone into this game as such a huge underdog?

 

Oakland hasn't beaten a single team that has a winning record. Riverdale's beaten one, and that was a 5A school. One of these teams will get their first win over a 6A school that has a winning record tonight.

probably half of Murfreesboro. I ve heard people have been talking about gettingthere 2 hours ealry. not to mention that Oakland and Riverdale classes of 2000 are having a joint reunion this weekend

Last time I checked, Ive never seen a computer or a T shirt on the field or winning a game. Its time to leave it all on the field Warriors!!! Come to play, play hard, do you best and the Tribe will take care of the rest!!! GO WARRIORS!!!! Get the early, with presold tickets the crowd is estimated to be around 6500.

Best of luck to both teams tonight( lil bit more luck to the Patriots of course). At the end of the day, this rivalry is special because it brings so many people together: friends, relatives, siblings, parents, etc. It is one of the few rivalries in the state that could certainly stake a claim on a national level. I get all riled up and hot and everything else, but I get that way because it truly means so much. Safe travels everybody and lets make it the best BoB yet.......

Just arrived back in the Boro and headed toward Riverdale way. The crowd is going to be big and I am too lazy to walk far.If I play my cards right I can score some free chickfila at the zone tent. First 104 folk there get it. Bring the kiddies early and get their face painted with a Big O too! It is going to be great. I may get me some BBQ too while I am at it.

 

I think the team that has the ball last will win this one. I am expecting a swapping of scores til the final horn. of course I know that will my boys in red, white, and blue will have the ball last and hang on for the big victory. It is going to be great to see a lot of kids that my son played ball with at OHS at the game tonight attending their reunion. I can't wait to see them and catch up with them. Just wish the game was at OHS. Good luck to both teams. This is what high school football is about.
