Are you kidding me? You were not at the game, but turnovers and the refs determined the outcome? The refs gave Greenbrier 26 points? Hey, I may be old, but I'm not stupid.

I appreciate the fact you have passion for your team, but your prediction, as well as this statement are ludicrous. Good luck the rest of the way.

I wish you would change that picture.....I dont like having my girlfriend's picture on the web.....next thing she'll be on youtube lapdancing......i dont like sharing those lovely looks with everyone..............

well, it looks like the bodcats got handed another one. this time from their opponents and a bunch of crooked zebras. worst 6-1 team in the state?... you nailed that one, briercat2. :thumb:

I feel sure Trousdale County and the Satterfield family are proud to have you represent them on these message boards.

You are an embarrassment to your school, community, and the Trousdale football program.

Love,

Typical response when you lose a game. Greenbrier had calls against them too; they were just not as undisciplined as the Tigers. I was quoting what Macon called us, and you know it. Greenbrier recovered two of Macon's fumbles in the redzone, and the Bobcats intercepted in the redzone. Greenbrier blocked the PAT, and Macon never lead in this game. Both teams played hard, and Greenbrier came out on top...by 20. Macon is improved...but the Bobcats are moreso.

All I can say is get over it....if you support Macon, support them next week. The scoreboard at Greenbrier is off. 26 - 6

My thoughts EXACTLY!

Also, I remember playin' golf with ole Doc Froedge at the Macon Co. CC ( :roflolk: ), if you could call it that - as a 'member,' it only cost him a quarter to play 9 - years ago, when he was a broker for JC Bradford (it was good economic times; he always said he'd go back to doctorin' when times got too bad). I'll bet he'd be real proud of his kinfolk, too.

Where y'at, ogor?

And come on, bulldog, join in. Although I just can't bring myself to say, 'Go Page' (it has something to do with some of your volleyball posters), I consider you a charter member of the Roger Herndon CoachT Memorial Club, so... (by the way, I had the privilege of talkin' to his father at tonight's game; he was there all by himself; I kinda felt sorry for him, but he was in a 'I-still-support-the-Bobcats mood,' bless his heart).

R-E-S-P-E-C-T, MC and TC ain't gonna give any in that part of Tennessee! :P

I agree with some of this Cat2, but you can't deny the support of the Tiger fans. 26-6 at the end of the game and all from Macon folks were still in their seats. (Great support Tiger fans) Macon doesn't lead in the game but the turnovers were the story of the game. Take nothing away from the Cat victory and their performance, but from a blue and white perspective, we feel we gave the ball away rather than it being taken away. I say this because except for the first drive turnover on third down, Macon was not stopped by the Cat defense... No 3 and outs, no punts. Turnovers came after long drives in the red zone as you stated. The Tiger defense was not as sharp as they were against the Owls, but I'll credit this to the Bobcat offense which I thought played a very good game. They were sharp and executed well. This was my first time at the Cats home. Great field, good seating right on top of the action, and a good PA announcer made a great evening of football. Again take nothing away from the Bobcat performance but without turnovers this game is in overtime.

Also the Refs should have their Certifications revoked and be made to do community service for at least 6 months. I don't hold this against the Cat fans, just the ref's performace was hideous. I would rank it in my top 5 worst called games right behind the '72 Nashville North game and last year's Trousdale County/Mayfield game.

Good luck the rest of the way Cats, hopefully we can regroup, and finish strong the rest of the season.

Sorry so late getting on, I had to hurry an update that 26-6 score on the website for our new friends and followers from TC :flower:

Another great game tonight. It's nice being the worst 6-1 team in the State.

Snowflake - keep those football lessons coming. I have so much to learn. :roflol:

Give me specifics on what calls you thought were bad, Wishbone. I was talking to person who came to the game with no connection to either team, but along for the ride with a friend. A discussion came up and he said that he thought it was a "pretty fairly called game". As I said, the Cats got an unneccessary roughness call, MC had a pass interference by shoving a Bobcat out of bounds so he couldn't recieve a pass. Did you forget that MC only got 5 yards for the facemask? I would think a ref that needs to do community service could have played it up for much more, don't you think? It's neither here nor there, but I vividly remember being at MC a two or three years ago and FIVE hankies were thrown on a personal foul on MC almost at the same time....funny that ALL five got picked up with no penalty...never seen anything like it. So, the worst calls don't only happen against MC, believe me. However, we have to remember that those guys are human too.

Thanks for the compliments Wishbone toward our stadium. Since you've never been here, would you believe that all the people on the Greenbrier stands used to sit on the side where Macon sat? Well, most had to stand, so we took down little wooden bleachers on the side we sit on now, (former visitor section) and the Greenbrier Athletic Club put blood, sweat and probably tears into the larger stands we have now. We're very proud of our football atmosphere, and you are right about our PA announcer...there is none better than Butch. Hopefully you guys will come around again in a couple of years...hoping for the same outcome, but we will see. :) I agree that your Tigers did play one heck of a game. It would have been nice to see them get three in a row at another place in the schedule. Good luck for the remainder of the games.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
