Nope. It's gonna be DB and Smyrna, i hope. I remember in '07 at the championship game i sat with the Smyrna fans when they beat Independance for the title. I told one of your fans we would see you guys in 2010. Man i hope that happens. We've got the fastest most athletic team we have had for many years when we were going to the semi's on a regular basis. And we came up short to Red Bank(Gerald Riggs), Oakland and Riverdale, who all went on to win the state. So close but yet so far. Anyway, i would love to have another chance to get to see Jeramiah Bryson and Chris Sensabaugh go head to head running the ball for each of our teams. Wow, i can almost see it. Good luck to Smyrna and hope we get to battle for the Gold Ball. Roll Tribe!!!!!!!!

That would be an amazing game too. Honestly i think there are several teams this year that could win state. if its not 7vs7 its gonna be 7 vs you guys or Maryville. Either way for the first time in awhile...states gonna come down to the last play and not be huge wins

Most West Tennessee teams do not get the respect they deserve here. Last year when White Station was going to play Maryville for State it was awful. After we won, most of the comments were about how Maryville did not play well and not how well we played. So get used to it if you want to read these boards.

This year we are fighting for our lives and every week is a playoff game. We have played the strongest competition this year and lost some close games but we are young and learning. Hopefully we can win our last 2 games and make the playoffs.

My predictions for Quad 4

1) Whithaven 9-1

2) Brighton 9-1

3) Arlington 8-2

4) Wooddale 7-3

5) Germantown 6-4

6) Collierville 6-4

7) Houston 5-5

8) Cordova 5-5

Cordova @ Whitehaven -- Whitehaven wins big 21 or more

Houston @ Brighton -- Brighton wins by 10

Collierville @ Arlington -- Arlington wins by 14

Germantown @ Wooddale -- Wooddale wins by 10

Sorry Millington by my projections you get left out this year - but I could be wrong it could be Millington instead of Cordova.

That looks like a pretty fair guess, however White Station may just win out. If they do that either Houston or Cordova would not make it. White Station's next 2 games will be Hamilton and Mitchell. They have the coaching staff to win their way in. I truly believe that White Station would be a very dangerous 8 seed.

I can certainly see why you have Cordova in instead of Millington. Cordova's last two opponents have a combined record of 2-15 while Millington's opponents have a record of 14-3, plus Cordova has beaten Millington. If Millington doesn't make the playoffs I know that they will be very disappointed.

I can hardly wait for these next 2 weeks to pass in the Memphis-Shelby Metro area (Districts 14,15, and 16)! :thumb:

State came down to a play with 13 seconds left when Oakland beat Franklin in 2008.

Dickson can't help the district they're in. They only have two non-district games. One was against the county rival(big revenue) and the other was against the defending 5a runner-ups. Don't blame Dickson, blame the system. Dickson has never backed down from competition.

Well I was just trying to point out how the system is FLAWED! Would you like it if you were 8-2 and you got compared to another team that was 9-1 and that won all of it's games vs. lower competition? And after watching Dickson County on TV last night I'm glad they might get pushed intos quad 3 and I hope they get paired up with Smyrna.

I do not understand how our leaders at the T$$AA can look at two schools one with lets say 8 wins vs. same or larger classifications and another who has lets say 9 wins and more than half of those wins came against lower classifications. It is NOT RIGHT!

I'd like to see how in the world anyone in District 7 will be able to get a schedule next year.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
