Man, talk about prophetic.......of course, there are those who will blame this on "bad coaching"; I think you're much closer to describing what happened tonight.

Spread offense and defense is on the coaches as is the forced passing game. Poor execution is on the players. The Buck stops with Coach Grider.

Hey math name, P.C. has gone for it on 4th down and converted about 7 times. They haven't had to make big plays.

Just admit SP got manhandled tonight. So does 4th down conversions matter..18 first downs for Polk. SP only had 4 first downs the first half. :)

I realize it's a stretch for folks like you to accept but, just possibly, the coaches might have had legit reasons for their game plan for this game. Just sounded to me like the Pirates were soundly beaten on both lines tonight. I'm not a big fan of spread offenses either but, when ran correctly, they give a smaller team with talented skill players a fighting chance against bigger defensive players. Its clear the Pirate coaches didn't think they'd be able to run over Polk.

well maybe all this speed talk will finally stop.. we have jus enough speed to complimiment our smash mouth style.. and i told u hargrove would be in ur backfield all night... maybe we respect now.... go polk

Are you kidding me/ Dont expect respect from those SP people. They play in a soft 1a district and region over there and those east TN teams are in awe of them. They thuoght UC should have been in awe of The Mighty Pirates in the Championship game last year. But....... we ran the outdated simple to defend no problem to handle VEER and manhandeled them all the way to the GOLD BALL. You would think they would learn to respect Big OLe Tater eatin boys. and forget all those cotton patch rabit plays they handg thier hat on. There is no substitute for Old Fashioned smash mouth ball control football. you think Im jokin but Im not.

42-7! Really? 42-21 was my prediction of the week. Come on Pirates 2 more touchdowns, and I am right. Im getting closer & closer. 4 turnover I predicted, and they have to turn it over 6 times. Oh well I was close enough. Looks like SP got beat by a better team, and Pirate fans will definately have trouble saying that tonight. Watch and see. :roflol:

As you know we all have to stay healthy. Proud Alexander and Micah are going to play together at Bethel. They were really fun to watch at the All Star game in Murfreesboro. They have real good chemistry together on the floor.
    • Baxter will do what they most always do.....at a minimum produce at least 9 Ws and run into at least the 2nd round.....Booger actually enjoyed seein them in the Gold Ball contest last season.... Booger just sayin
