Greenbrier @ Goodpasture 10/29

Well, with us being #2 at this point, I think this board will turn into a free-for-all for all the Bobcat haters (mostly blue and white teams) to jump on here to bash Greenbrier. We've had a good year overall and no one can take that away. People can talk who beat who and by how much, but realistically I guess that's to have something to say. None of that matters in the game of the night, and I don't think anyone in Greenbrier is ignoring probability since Goodpasture has been so sucessful and a powerhouse, however, I don't think anyone is throwing out the possibilities either. We will go into this game with one of our best players, #4 Treavor Thaxton, out for the rest of the games due to having his hand stomped on and crushed in the Westmoreland game (it's on film), but we will also go in with many players that will be willing and able to step in and step up.

Goodpasture is a goliath in high school football. This will be a battle and we will fight it. At the end of the night, here's hoping all are injury free to continue on to the playoffs and everything is left on the field.

Go Cats! Focus and finish STRONG.

I do not think greenbrier matches up well with GP. GP's great pass offense against a bad secondary and GP's overall better speed should be the difference and I dont like greenbrier's chances unless they play like the team that won three strait district games. But you never know who shows up for the bobcats so we will wait and see.

You are crazy and have a one sided opinion so take off the blue devil glasses and think greenbrier is a great team when they want to be and come play off time they will be workin harder then ever. This game is gonna be a closer game then people think watch out for those cats

Greenbrier hasn't beaten a team with a winning record all season. And when they have played teams with a winning record they lost by 28 and 30 to Springfield and DL respectively. This team has yet to show they can step up and compete with the big boys. I see this one gettin ugly quick GP 48 GB 7.

Excellent point!!! GB has been going through the motions the last few games. They better step it up quickly if they dont' want to get embarrassed @ GP friday night. GP will run the ball down GB's throat and then throw all over them. Goodpasture wins district easily. 38-6 Cougars

You're right Ogor, last year's game was a good one. I don't think this one will be as low scoring, but it won't be an Auburn-Arkansas. Bobcats will play tough, look for #45 for the Bobcats to have a big game. He's been a sackin' machine for the bobcats this year.

Talking like that lets everyone know that this is probably the player number 45 lol

This game will be a blowout. Goodpasture will throw all over them because greenbrier secondary is a joke.If I was greenbrier I would go ahead and throw in the towel so they it least think they a have good team going into playoffs. #45 the bobcats is trash just like the rest of that D and O line. Goodpasture 41-17

I will agree with you on this one GP blows out Sycamore, and Greenbrier just lost to Westmoreland. Thats all the info I need //////// GP wins big //////////

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
