I like the boys on both these teams. The Rebs have not played a lot of whole games this year.If they get down to this Boone team they may not be able to stage the big comeback. If South comes out clicking and gets Boone down the Blue Fog may eat them up again. I don't think Boone will have the big head like last year but still have to stop Hayden. This will probably be the best game in the quad. Its time to LOAD UP THE HAYNIE TRAIN and go to Boonesburo

GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS GO REBS

I guess because I've known a few of the South players and one of the coaches ,I would like to see them win this one without a doubt. However,I'll be pulling for the winner of this game in two weeks regardless of the outcome. It's hard to believe another football season has come and gone. It's been an aggravating year on coacht with all the side shows, but every crowd has it's black sheep.I'll be pulling for North and my old team as well.Good luck friday guys, and I hope to be in a much better mood after this years first round.

congrats to both teams on great seasons. i think this is one of the best matchups in the opening round. with that being said i think the BLAZERS will win this one. i was at death valley in week 3 when the rebels beat boone 41-16. this was the worst game boone played all season. the boone team that south will see friday nov5 is leaps and bounds ahead of the one they saw in week 3. the blazer o-line has a soild blocking scheme now that will lean and push the rebels backwards. we have saw it for the last 5 weeks, boone hitting people in the mouth on both sides of the ball. they are just as punishing on O as they are on D. this is really evident in the second half of those gamnes. south hasnt seen a team near the physicallity of these blazers this season. in the first meeting boone had nearly 7 turnovers, that wont happen this week. also no one on here has said anything about the HOME FIELD adv. TRUST ME gray will be a mad house friday night when south comes to town. THE BLAZER NATION could be a factor. For south it is very hard to beat a team 2 times in the same year, we saw this last year when the blazers beat TN HIGH 3 weeks after getting blown out by them. and probably the biggest reason is THE BLAZERS WANT THE REBELS.i know players and couches, and both wanted the rebels. these kids are driven and hungry and want those rebels. i talked to a couple players who said they didnt care if they had to play at death valley, they wanted the rebels. SO to break it down. This isnt the same boone team south saw in week 3. blazers are way to physical. they arent going to turn the ball over 7 times. The game is in gray, so the blazer nation will be alive. hard to beat a calliber team twice in a season, and last and probably the most influential THE BLAZERS WANTED THE REBELS. this is all my opinion feel free to critize and input your opinion. GO000000 MIGHTY BLAZERS GO GO GO

I like it....and agree with it, but the Rebels know how to beat a team twice in the same season, just as they did last year.

And you are indeed correct about that. I think this game will have the Boone boys having a huge amount of respect for the South team and a drive to beat them... I don't think anyone will suggest Boone will overlook South, especially since Boone somewhat did that at the beginning of the year.

Boone is a different team too tho....this will be the 5A game to watch out of the 5 in Quad 1.

No other team in 5A that I would rather see Boone beat than South, no other team in 5A I'd rather Boone not get beat by than South. Makes me want to do more than cheer Boone on, makes me want to play. High school football at it's best, the PLAYOFFS. GO BOONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boone is solid! and from what I seen friday night in Bristol....so is South! South got out to a rocky start and even though they are a 6 seed, they are way better then that. If JJ can figure out a way to stop heath then Blazers will come away with the W. From what I seen friday the answer is containment! Line stay at home! Heath will let the pressure collapse around him and then pick out a hole to run through. By this time the linebackers have dropped back into coverage and Heath has a lane to run down big enough to drive a semi through. He's strong and athletic and arm tackles aren't gonna work! Put his hind end on the ground! Everyone knows you can do it...you did it to downs. If JJ coaches his line to stay at home and not allow souths o line to create holes then heath is gonna have a long night. Not sure how they are teaching at Boone now but when I was there they taught the line to contain and the linebackers to make tackles. It'll be interesting to see if JJ can find the answer that is lieing just under his nose. I'm tellin ya its containment coach!
