First, let me say, we are going to be examining the 4th quadrant of both 5A and 6A, as well as, the D2 games that include Memphis schools. The games may not necessarily be played in Memphis. With that being said ... let's do this.

 

First Round Match-ups:

Jackson N.S. gets more then what they bargained for yet win ... 35 - 28

 

6A - Quad 4

 

Whitehaven beats a much improved White Station ... 28 - 21

Wooddale ruins Arlington's season ... 28 - 24

Collierville becomes the 'Road Warriors' and win ... 35 - 21

Brighton's season is ruined also by those traveling Red Devils ... 35 - 28

 

Div. II

 

Briarcrest wins despite losing their strating QB last week ... 28 - 17

St. Benedict scraps and wins ... 17 - 14

Ridgeway over East ... 42 - 7

Mitchell over Hardin County ... 31 - 14

Craigmont over Dyer Co. ... 48 - 14 to Mr. Craft

Jackson over Melrose... 21-14

 

6A - Quad 4

 

Whitehaven over White Station ... 28 - 27

Arlington over Wooddale .... Wooddale is a good team, but I say Arlington. KWC is not always right.. :)

Dickson County over Collierville ... 35 - 21... will be closer than the score

Brighton over G'town... 24 - 21 this is tough one, two good teams. could go either way.

 

Div. II

 

Briarcrest over McCallie ... 28 - 21

St. Benedict over BGA ... 17 - 14

Ridgeway 44 East 8 - Ridgeway shows why they are 10-0 and #1 in the state.

Hardin County 24 Mitchell 20 - Mitchell has had too tough a time towards the end of the season.

Craigmont 30 Dyer County 22 - Dyer County is better than their 5-5 record.

Jackson Northside 24 Melrose 19 - Melrose CAN win this one, but I don't think they will.

 

6A

Whitehaven 34 White Station 13 - Whitehaven ROLLS.

Arlington 34 Wooddale 27 - Arlington airs it out in this one.

Dickson County 27 Collierville 21 - This one should be very close.

Brighton 31 Germantown 27 - Brighton pulls out a close one.

 

D-II

Briarcrest 24 McCallie 13 - Briarcrest overcomes losing their starting QB.

St Benedict 27 BGA 21 - The Wilkins brothers have a big game.

RW 42 -- East 13 .... East's porous defense will get TORCHED, especially in the 2nd-half!

Mit 36 -- HC 24 ... Dist 13 teams struggle mightily versus Mphs teams, in the playoffs.

Crg 30 -- DC 17 ... (same as above)

Mel 32 -- JNS 31 .. I'll stick to my "Mphs over D-13" theme, but am NOT confident about this pick!

 

 

 

6A -- Quad 4

 

WH 31 -- WS 14 ... White Station will be tough next year, not tonight though.

Arl 38 -- WD 34 ... Most exciting game of the night!

CV 31 -- DC 28 .... My Dragons will find a way to win this game...I'm hope so, anyway.

Ger 35 -- BR 31 ... Memphis area beats Dist 13 again.

 

 

 

Div II

 

MC 24 -- BC 21 ... The loss of its QB was the beginning of the end for Briarcrest.

BGA 28 -- SB 17 ... I just suspect that BGA is probably the better team.

PLAYOFFS are here and let me be one of the first to say that there are no sorry/bad teams playing in Quad 4 of the 6A playoffs. Every single team from 1 thru 8 has a legit chance of getting to the semi-finals to play the winner/survivor of the extremely tough Quad 3! With that being said I will hold off on any commentary about any Quad 4 6A playoff match ups as I will not be giving anyone any bullentin board material or any other extra motivation! :ph34r:

 

As far as the 5A match up goes...

 

East and Ridgeway will feature 3 of the most explosive players in the Shelby Metro Area. #1 Sheldon Dawson and #3 Jaylen Walton of Ridgeway vs. #3 Brian Kimbrow of Memphis East. These 3 dudes are flat foot fast! Not only are they Super fast all of them have moves and are real deal Running backs (least I mention all 3 of these guys are Juniors!!!). The RB match up alone would be worth the price of admission to this contest, however Ridgeway's D is also as well as East's stand out wide out #8 Robert Fields. Whoever can win the rushing battle will win this game. :hungry:

 

Mitchell vs. Hardin Co. I don't know much about Hardin Co. but I do know Mitchell's passing must lead the way if they expect a victory Friday. That is unless Mr. Graves is back at 100 %.

 

Dyer Co. is hitting the road to face Craigmont. I know little about Dyer Co. as Whitehaven's Freshmen team lost to them for the State sectional freshmen championship. I think this game will come down to Defense, Defense and more Defense.

 

 

Melrose was playing for their playoff lives last week, however they got a Reprieval. Now they have to take that long bus ride from Orange Mound to Jackson. I have heard Jackson Northside is the real deal. They will get tested mightily, as we did, by the Golden Wildcats. I foresee a shoot out over/under 60 points between both teams. Will Gross is a top 4 or 5 QB in this state. Including all classifications!

 

I would like to wish all the Memphis Area Private schools good luck. :thumb:

      Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.

      The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??

      If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
