Which brings me to my next point, does the TSSAA rule book even have anything against helmet to helmet hits? Ive tried to search for it but Ive yet to find anything. If by chance that its outlawed in NCAA and NFL but not TSSAA (which knowing them it wouldnt surprise me) then it wasnt a dirty hit. It was completely legal. Im sure TSSAA has something against it though.

CAK was charged with a helmet to helmet hit in the first round of the playoffs (Kingston) game...FWIW

Congratulations to Alcoa on the victory. What a fantastic HS football game! I wish the injury to #27 hadn't happened. Anyone who wants to look at the film to draw their own conclusions will have the opportunity with Ihigh. Alcoa has a team full of classy and respectful kids, just as CAK does. Every team has situations happen that the fans and coaches cringe over.

I can't say enough about how proud I am of the Warriors. It would have been very easy for those young men to go through the motions last Friday knowing the challenge in front of them on top of knowing that they were not going in at full strength. But they didn't just show up and go through the motions. As always, the Warriors gave their all until literally the last play. What a great life lesson that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

I can't say enough about these seniors. I have watched almost all of them play not only HS ball but also MS ball and I have known for a long time that this had the potential to be a great team. Well, they didn't disappoint. 11-2, the most victories in school history. And 2 years with 4 losses, all of which were to the 6 and soon to be 7 consecutive years' State Champion. You can't control what bracket you are in. What could be controlled was how these young men competed, and they left it all on the field.

As far as the returning players, they have big shoes to fill when it comes to results. But they too are very capable of being a formidable football team. How that turns out starts next week. The Warrior fans will be pulling for them to give 100% effort to achieve everything they are capable of achieving. There is no goal that is out of reach next year if these young men buy in and do the work that is necessary to be the best.
