What is your point here? 100% of CAK's players are out of zone. You pay tution to go to CAK just as our out of zone players play tution to attend Alcoa. What is the difference? Out of zone vs out of zone. Moreover, it is perfectly legal. Whine all you want. Face it, you gave it your best shot but you fell short. Take it like a man and enjoy basketball season.

Big difference, CAK is a private school and most states make private schools play each other. TSSAA never met a gate it did not like to get money from, so they let them play against the pubs. Alcoa acts like a private school and will take anyone as long as they can play football, how many kids transfer in to be in the band?

Don't know. Don't care. How many kids transferred from Happy Valley and Hampton to play football at Betsy? Cut straight to the excuses this year, huh? At least you learned one thing last year.

GONGRATS TO BETSY on their win over GP. Both Alcoa & Betsy take in several outside players, so what, both teams go by the T$$AA rules. Do you want them to say no, go some where else and play.All teams either take all the player they can or would if they could. The better your program gets the more kids and parents come to it. If you want your child to get every chance to play on the next level you look at your options. Betsy you got the short end of the stick in quad 4 but came from that BS seed you got to prove that you were the best team not only in the 3 rivers but in quad 4. If you get killed Friday night you still hold your head high knowing you got beat by at least the #1 or #2 team in the whole state at any level. Alcoa you are the PROGRAM we wish we all had. Good Luck to both teams play safe

GO BETSY :popcorneater::popcorneater::popcorneater:

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
