Greeneville vs. Trezevant

Actually Stewart IS a better passer, probably a better QB overall, and I'm not crazy. I didn't say better sprinter. Also, I would imagine he's more concerned with 2 more years of high school before making any conclusions about his college future. I see Greeneville making another run next season, but with a slightly different look, thus making them even harder to prepare for. Go Devils!

I think Tanner is the better passer as well...I remember back at the beginning of the season when WC has a couple of rough outings, we thought we might see a 2 QB offense with Willie running and Stewart passing. I agree next year will have a different look. Without BJ or Chaz, who steps into the power-back roll? I have liked what I've seen from the Troy kid.GO GREENE!!!

Dang, and all along I thought all this typing I've been doing on here was what was getting all these wins.

And Stewart is only a Sophomore. He will develop a whole lot more over the next two years. Especially this year when he will get most of the snaps in the spring.

Yeah Barb, I think the 2-QB system was even a strategic option until about halfway through the regular season. It just becomes too obvious and makes defensive coordinator's job a little simpler, especially going into the playoffs. So, I think it was a sound decision to choose one and stay with it. I agree with you on Troy. I'm also going to take this opportunity to praise "someone" who seldom gets named. I say "someone", but I mean the entire offensive line. Not naming them individually because they play as a unified unit and there's actually 6 or 7 that deserve far more mention than they've received, but that's the life of an offensive lineman and I hope they know their significance.

I know a lot of folks expressed some concern about the youth and inexperience of the o-line coming into this season but man them young'uns have gotten it done.

You're either crazy or know nothing about football. Willie has a stronger arm and throws a better ball than Tanner. Tanner is about the fourth best passer on the team right now. In this order Willie, Perkins, Tyrus Rollins then Tanner, and Finchum is not far behind him. Not knocking Tanner but he's a running back. If you've been to any games or around the program you know this. If he'll work hard this off season he'll be fine. He's got to work through his progressions and work on throwing. The TD Willie through to Sandoval I think it was the Gibbs game, rolling left throwing the ball 30+ yards on a rope, Tanner could not have made that throw.

And yeah our O-Line works their butts off and returning all but one we will be nasty again next year.

:roflol: Easy now. Be careful who you call crazy. Almost give yourself away with your comments.

to my knowledge william has had one bad game. The south game was the only game that he had a bad outing . The jeff co game he would of had about 200 yards passing if #21 thumbs were not broke. I personally think #21 would of been a all state receiver if his thumbs were not broke he would of had over 10 tds receiving do you want to count them up. Wille throws the ball way better than tanner and that is why he is the starting qb its not because he is faster than tanner. Why all the nonsense about wille is it because he is black? is it because he was not here last year? i could see if he was a cocky kid that thought he was better than everybodyelse or was causing a problem with his teammates or something. But he most be doing something right he has helped the greenedevils to go 14-0 he won Mr. Football,Elite 11 player of the year greene co. player of the year and we about to win the state title saturday.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
