Dyer County and Robert Hubbs

Dyer County in my opinion is a very good team, and most will agree with me but I think Robert Hubbs is the best sophomore in the state. He is putting up 20 to 30 poinits up every game. Not only with spot up 3-pointers but with dunks and a smooth mid-range game. His dad played at the U of Arkansas and I see this kid playing at Memphis, Tennessee, and the Kentucky level. He is 6'5" and still growing in my opinion. Do not get me wrong I am a Trojan fan but I can only have respect for these kids at DC. Many people may not like McCord but these kids play hard so dont disrespect them. If DC can pull out a home sub-state game and there is no upset of Melrose with Adonis Thomas I can see Hubbs carrying this team to state. Remember last year he scored 19 or 20 against White Station, in the sub state game, who ended up being state runner up with Memphis Tiger Joe Jackson. These Choctaws are hungry and with them being AAA and my Trojans being AA I have to support my local team when they get in the tournaments. With Hubbs scoring like he does and the leadership of Fred Yarbrough and the sick talent that can show up from Justin Williamson, Koty Gross, Cedarius Taylor, and Tay Kennedy this team is going to be deadly! Trojan fans get over the stupid drama of hating DC and DC get over the hating of D-burg and support your 2 local teams! They are in different classes and are both playing like they want to prove people wrong. Good luck Choctaws from a TROJAN fan! Ill be watching from the stands during your tournament run if my team isnt playing! And Hubbs keep it up and Ill be watching you on TV in a few years!

GC I think you've got me mixed up with someone else. When did I ever say Justin wasn't that good? Justin is a baller. I think comparing Blake to Hudson does an injustice to Blake. Hudson can shoot it and he's got OK size in HS. If he wasn't surrounded by these other guys he wouldn't be doing scoring like he does. He's not a shot creator for himself or others and his defense will be tested at the next level. He will play ball somewhere no question. But I remember some people saying he was big time D-1.

Where is he in the recruit rankings?

Hubbs is a great player but he has at least three guys who are better than him at this point in the 2013 class. Johnathan "J3" Williams (Southwind), Nick King (Memphis East), and Shannon Hale (Science Hill) are the players who at this point are better than him, in my opinion.

Actually, I believe my opinion is worth as much as anyone elses. I have personally seen all of these kids play and yes I believe Hubbs is the 4th best player in the state in the class of 2013. He has slightly above average handles, a good shot out to 20-22 feet, and his athleticism is top notch. I wasn't knocking Hubbs when I said there were 3 players better than him but the post asked if he was the best sophomore in the state and I stated my opinion.
