Oakland football in rebuilding mode?

A buddy of mine was asking where to get Oakland stuff. The h.s. - not the NFL team.

Does that Walgreens around Northfield/Memorial carry Oakland/Siegel stuff, being right in the middle and all??

They have in the past. Hastings usually carry a few items and of course wal mart. If all else fails..the trusty Outfitters will probably be open at the scrimmage on Thursday.

Went to the scrimmage against Beech tonight and I am still impressed with Trevor Willis but more with his defense tonight. We will be hearing his name called alot this season. Go Pats!

Denzell Martin really took a big step forward tonight. I was kind of discouraged early on, but once we got to the team aspect of the scrimmage, Oakland did well, just gotta build on it now

Yes, he did. I was trying to think of his name. (thanks) Do you know what grade he is in? I was told he was a Lavergne transfer??

He seemed like a nice kid at LHS. Did he move or is he out of zone? I hear there may be other former LHS players headed Oakland's way.

Denzell is a Senior. Yes he came from LaVergne. nrgrizzlies, from what I was told, his family moved. At any rate, I think he allows us to be able to move Swader back to flanker (when he gets healthy), and pound that rock with Chesterfield and Martin. Lyons better be careful, Smith and Stacey looked pretty good tonight while he struggled, all in all a good scrimmage for Oakland against a formidable opponent, hopefully we can keep it up at Brentwood tommorrow

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
