Oakland football in rebuilding mode?

In 7-aaa looking at all the teams, it seems they have the most rebuilding to do for this next season (Smyrna lost quite a bit too)...what does it look like for Oakland this fall???

 

(wasn't the 9th grade team pretty good - will lots of 10th graders see varsity playing time?)

I've never seen Oakland supporters this silent.

 

I know lots of good players graduated the last two years, but there must be at least a bit or optimism somewhere in the "O" support ranks???

If i remember right he moved up to Kentucky! You will probably see him post sometime soon i would think! In my opinion Oakland will be just fine! Looking forward to Aug.

Don't get me wrong, (except for the p.a. announcer) Oakland is one of my favorite local h.s. programs. But they just lost the QB Adams, the RB Mayberry, Buddy Mitchell, etc...all schools have to have one of those dreaded rebuilding years once in a while. Who will man those positions? Will some of the rising 10th graders be contributing immediately?

Don't get me wrong, (except for the p.a. announcer) Oakland is one of my favorite local h.s. programs. I know they did lose some key players but if i remember correctly the freshman and jv did fairly well and they do have the players to step up! They also have a good group on varsity returning!

When will they step up and replace that "p.a. announcer" ? ? ? It's the only place you almost don't want to go watch a game based on that. He's worse than "karaoke girl" at Blackman.

It was a different guy this past season. Their are a couple of up and coming sophomores that I know will contribute heavily and a couple that have a pretty good shot at earning a spot this spring. IMO

Great move to ditch that previous p.a. guy. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but he really was THAT BAD. Good to hear some young guys will step up on the field. It will pay off down the road.

This year Oakland will find out just how good their coaching staff really is.
