Its game day baby. I am not sure about some of the Mountain Alumni, but Tyner is not a THUG team. We play football, and the only fighting we do on the field is for that extra yardage. Can't wait for game time. This should be a very good match up.

 

Classy post--just wish you weren't a Tide fan. LOL <_<

Nice write-up on Mr. Champion in the paper today. Every team should be so lucky to have a man like that supporting their program. My sympathies go out to his family and the entire Tyner family. Best of fortunes to both teams tonight. Hope everbody comes out injury free.

 

Regardless of anything said on these boards, the Signal Mountain community truly welcomes the Tyner Academy team and fans on their first trip to the Mountain. Although I obviously hope for an Eagle win, I sincerely hope the Rams leave with a favorable impression of our community and school.

One of two things here: 1. SM is for real, or 2. There's mood relaxing stuff being pumped into the SM visitor's locker room... :roflol:

 

Seriously though, is SM that good or is Tyner really down this year? Don't want rah-rah answers, please.

 

btw: is the Kingston 106, Harriman 0 for real? Whoa! If so, somebody was mad at somebody.

Signal's QB picked Tyner's back field apart. My Ram Train got derailed tonight. Signal looked to me as the real deal, their passing game looked great. Tyner just couldn't pass, so they relied on the running game.S It was a good game though. Congrats Signal, good luck the rest of the way.

 

It's a good thing our passing game was on tonight because the Rams have a very good run defense. They shut us down pretty effectively on the run. No really long breakaways tonight. Good game Rams. You should do fine this season. But you are right, Signal is the real deal.

Tyner is a much better team than the score reflects. They played tough defense, selling out against the run, which they effectively shut down. And played all out to the final buzzer.:thumb:

 

But ... QB One, Reese Phillips, is the real deal, and we got some receivers, too.

 

Tyner needs a passing game, and Signal's defense was exceptional. Very proud of the big DEFENSE.:hungry: Good to see.

 

Hope Sturkey is okay. Noticed he was a little hobbled after a weird play in the third quarter. Didn't look serious, and I think hopefully no other significant injuries for either team.

 

Best of Fortunes to the Rams the rest of the season.:flower:

      We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.

      Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.

      I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.

      I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
