That is a great question. I don't believe it was even brought up over in the WC/MtP thread but the difference in that game was PAT's. Wayne Co. made theirs and MtP didn't. Wayne Co. has been very successful this year in converting PAT's of both kinds. This game could very well be decided by a kicker.

A good kicking game will win u many games in high school football. knew this cud potentially be the difference in big games like this. Agree totally this was the difference in the WC-MTP game!!!! Sounds like they got a good one too so sounds like should be interesting

Well, the sun is out this morning in Wartrace... good sign... maybe the field will have a chance to dry out a little after 3 days and nights of rain. It will take a good north wind and a lot of sun to do much with all the water the field soaked in the last few days. I think the field conditions are going to slow down the running game on both sides of the ball, especially on the edge. If Wayne Co. runs a lot of sweeps then the wet field will play to Cascade's favor... but the wet field will slow down the passing routes which will help WC... so, it's a wash... as I said earlier, both teams have to play on the same field. This should be a great football game. Looking forward to a big turn out tomorrow night.

Maybe the field will be dry and neither of the teams have to play in wet conditions. WC runs the veer a lot and than some power-I, but we do have some plays that are sweeps. They are called on few and far between but we do run them. I agree, this will be a good game and it will show just how WC stacks up to other teams.

Question: Where are some good places to eat up there. Me and a few others are wantin to get up there early to eat.

Bell Buckle Cafe is about a mile from the school and has a great menu consisting on home style cooking (similiar to Cracker Barrel). There is also a great Mexican restaurant next to KFC in Shelbyville. (El Mexico) Shelbyville also has a Chili's, Ruby Tuesday, and Legends restaurant if prefer Steak.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
