Oneida vs. Oliver Springs

The RB with the most yards from scrimmage has the edge in this game. That is as long as they don't leave it on the floor!! Turnovers will be killer for both of these teams. I seriously hope the home field works its magic for the Indians... I'd like to think the Reservation is worth a touchdown every once in a while.

Kazam

We need the crowd to get fired up early. Maybe we could hand out tequilla shots. Get the whole group liquored up! Sure, probably end up killing a ref or two, but whats the difference, they have already sold their sold to the Devil (or T$$AA in this realm)! I'm just saying, man!

I think this game is more about Oneida passing game and OZ's secondary. OZ will stack the box. If west can open up the passing game and stretch the field, then the game will go Oneida's way. If not then it could be tight.

I'm hedging between you and Kaz. Limiting OS rushing is crucial but Oneida executing the play call consistently will be the key!

Coach Mays's offense is tough to defend because of it's scope. Throwing the ball outa the power I! Single option, Veer, Spread with a few surprises here and there.

Plus, 96% of this team is made up of Jr and Soph. Some of the key positions manned by sophomores are gaining confidence, you can see the game slowing down for them every week.

If the Indians will execute the game plan all night and take whatever OS gives them, they will score enough that rushing yards won't matter.

It's been a good week. Bashed on the T$$AA and their stripped minions. Talked about Nachos, Jalapenos and Tequila. Used the words "realm" and "minions". When's the game start?

It is game day. I'm looking forward to a dominating performance by them Indians tonight. I don't expect it to be too close of a game. Oneida will run away with this one. Oneida 42-14 (two scores against the subs late in the game). One step closer to a district championship.

Polar......everyone except Greenback. That game was up in Cherokee Valley.....and it took a good Greenback team an overtime to get the win. The Tribe has been tested, but they have played some solid football teams, Given that the game is on the Reservation, the boys aren't likely to fall over at the sight of OS. I just hope Russo got it right in the prep xtra picks. This game is a HUGE one....if OS falters they may be done. Oneida may have a little more leeway, but not much. I would think if you don't see two inspired teams tonight, there is something wrong with that club. I'm cranking old betsy up now....! Go tribe!!!!!!

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
