If Pearl beats CPA..Wouldn't that give them the district champ.?? And a number 1 seed?? I don't know.Just asking.

Pearl-Cohn would be the #3 seed in Q3 as a district champion behind fellow district champions Smith County & Goodpasture. PC would open against the #6 seed who would ironically be CPA. 2 weeks in a row those teams would play one another.

Howdoitknow what if PC loses will they play Smith Co. round 1 ? Also good luck to the Cubs are they for sure in or will this friday;s game determine that ?

Yeah I can see both sides of the fence on the issue. Last year Franklin was seeded over Brentwood even though Brentwood was district champs. You have to put a priority for winning your district.

Why??

When you have some districts with five teams and some districts over 10, why do you have to give the district champ and number two priority?

Smith County could open against any of the following 3 teams:

Cheatham County

Grundy County

Pearl-Cohn

The Cubs are IN with a win over Harpeth

or

a loss by 1 of the following teams:

Grundy County

South Greene

Happy Valley

Meigs County

Pearl-Cohn

Gatlinburg-Pittman

Loudon

Tyner

Hickman County can't hold any tiebreaker over the Cubs which means that CC is safe in a head-to-head situation vs them. Should the Cubs lose vs Harpeth then they are going to need 1 of the 8 teams mentioned above to also lose this week.

Odds are at least one of those teams will lose. Cheatham should be in.

Grundy hosts Notre Dame

South Greene at Chuckey-Doak

Happy Valley hosts Johnson Co.

Meigs Co. at Polk Co.

Pearl Cohn host CPA

Gatlinburg-Pittman at Pigeon Forge

Loudon host Kingston

Tyner host Red Bank

Ill take Grundy and Happy Valley as the only two who win

Thanks for the confidence boost guys. This year would be the 7th time in 10 years that Coach Finley and his outstanding coaching staff took our boys to the state playoffs.

Our 3 choices of games should we get in would be Smith County, Goodpasture, and CPA. It would be great for the guys to get some playoff experience against a team with as much tradition as those 3 programs.

I got an idea, let's put zero importance on district games. Good idea coach!

We did that last year...didn't work so well. I don't have a problem with seeding district champs and runners up first. I couldn't believe it when they didn't do that last year. There was so much upheaval...it was changed.

CC would be a much tougher out for SC than in the previous couple of meetings I'm sure. Good luck Friday night . Is Bubba Chandler still on staff there?
