I agree. This system blows. I believe in South Pitt and think they still have a shot. If everyone gets back healthy, they will be a tough out for anyone. The system has a whole does blow bad.

Catsfan I have to respectfullly disagree on the assumption that the LC fans would be complaining. Honestly I expected them to leave Huntingdon in Quad 4 to balance it out but would not be a big deal as LC would have been a 2 seed and still had a bye in the first round. We don't complain, like others in our area, about playing in a district with many former AA teams such as Humboldt, Union City, Trenton-Peabody. The falcons did not complain about Perry Co. being moved over last year or having to play Huntingdon in the 2nd round. Like I said Quad three region is a little stronger than in previous years but would it still not have been stacked if we were under the old system?? Only Huntingdon would not have been in the Quad most likely. Again I do not disagree that Quad 3 is stacked just saying it may be a different quad next year and seems to be a certain region year to year.

i think its funny how the lake co fans who post on here are making the comments they are when if the shoe was on the other foot they would be as upset as everyone else but i guess when you benefit from the system it does seem like a good thing

 

and as for the comparison to basketball it an apples to oranges comparison at least in b'ball its a set system none of the morons at tssaa are making decisions who and where you play you play based on district and reigon finish

That is where you are wrong, Lake County wouldn't cry or care if Huntingdon, Perry, or anyone else for that matter was in quad 4. We would just play the game and give them our best shot. And if we were better team we would win if not we would lose, it is that simple. Perry and Huntingdon was both in quad 4 last year and not one person from Lake County complained or cried.The system is flawed I totallly agree but everyone knew the guidelines, so, how everything fell should be no surprise.

Seriously though, same crap happened last year, somebody always gets screwed - deal with it and move on. Keep your outrage stoked and go after TSSAA after the playoffs. Just saying....

If L.C. and SP can make it to Cookeville, it would be a classic game with 2 historical 1a (Class A) programs.

He was referring to the fact it would be a classic 1A game meaning a true 1A game with 2 teams that have a lot of tradition. We realize that Huntingdon is 1A now under the new classification but you are probably the biggest 1A school in Tennessee. You have had 1 good year since you been in 1A , so don't go beating your Chest. Huntingdon is having a great year so congrats but isn't Lake County the same team that sent you packing last year. I am not saying that Lake County is going to make it to Cookville but Huntingdon hasn't made it yet either, so before I started disrespecting teams on here , I would make sure that mine did something other than have a great regular season first.

Someone needs to ask that Carter man to come out of retirement so we can use his playoff system instead of that Childress mans system. If Grider had won that game last night, we would have a bye next week. Grider did play some good teams like that Davis man from Polk County. I garuntee you their is nothing we can do about it. Your joking. Grider was only charging 6 dollars for regular games. This is a bunch of mess. I am going to call the school next week and ask them about this. Why is Grider charging more for these playoff games?

Polk only charges $5 for regular games - what's up with ya'll?

 

Anyway, not Grider's fault - TSSAA sets the price for playoff games, it's $8 a ticket for everybody.
