Considering last night, their not off to a good start. They need to pick it up. Props to Grundy County, they are a tough team. Definitely the team to beat!!

The interesting part of this District this year is Coaches are giving interviews to the Newspapers this year and I have seen at least 2 or 3 and learned a lot. Coach Merkle even gave one about his team. This really must have generated some interest.

Warren County, last year, made it to the Regionals the first time in over 20 years. I should have know that. Joe Stewart had to be coaching or maybe Bobby Hale. Someone would know.

Last time I remember the Lady Pioneers going to Regions was the 94-95 season and Eric Wilson was the head coach and was voted coach of the year for district 7-AAA.. back when Oakland, Riverdale, Lebanon, Cookeville and Sparta were all still together..

I still wish we were in that district. It would be alot more attractive schedule, and the people of warren county could see some of the best basketball, being played in the state, even though we usually came out on the short end of the stick, but the random years we did compete at a high level, made it all more sweeter. The Ladies have potential ,this year, but need to learn to close-out games.

saw Warren co. play this summer and at play day the last month did not see much i do hope them good luck because that program has been down a long time.they had some good teams years ago when it was city and central program

Warren won 33-29 against Sequatchie Friday in Cannon County, despite making 8 field goals for the game, 4 in each half and shooting about 25 percent from the floor. They made it to the foul line early and often, hitting 16-29. They attempted 23 before Seq began fouling to stop the clock in the last couple of minutes. Sequatchie was 2-8 from the line. Regardless of how the stats went, Warren had the most important one, more points.
