Kevin38
Balancing the quads better would go a long way. True, the quads were a mess on both sides this year.....

Gerry Bertier
What goobers like you fail to realize is even with the effectiveness of the veer, they still need a field goal with 6 seconds left to come from behind for their 2 pt win. What I saw that day was a team with average athletes physically dominate the line of scrimmage against a team that had superior athletes. There was no reason SP should of lost that game. UC threw one pass and that was intercepted. All I know is the VEER can neutralize the talent gap and let less talented players stay on the field and compete. Why name call? Are you still in disbelief that a team led by Terrell Robinson could lose to a bunch of hard nosed high school players.

There were several things that day that beat SP with the most important being turnovers. Then our inability to adjust to the veer. I am telling you with 100% confidence this years defense would shut down that UC veer from 2009.
MOTO24
I don't want to read all 22 pages right now but my $0.02...SP wins this one. I will stick to my guns and say that SP is #1 and A. Gap is #2. WC is #3 and is a very good team but I don't see them having enough to win. I think WC lacks the offensive firepower to beat SP. Defensively WC is good enough to win in 1A but their offense will struggle. Having said that, I'll give WC a punchers chance of getting it done. I thought JB would have a punchers chance but things didn't work out for them. WC is better defensively that JB was last year but not as good offensively. WC folks...I don't want to make SP out to be gods but until you see them up close and personal you can't appreciate how good they are. They're unlike any 1A team in TN. Good luck to both teams! rb42
yes we all no tht SP has a tough schedule but everyone go look at there schedule an who they played it aint all tht impressive honestly..i mean they was ok team but jus cause there in a different classifaction dont mean anything.. yal keep talkin bout tht an ill keep talkin bout how huntingdon beat milan which is playin for the gold ball in 3A an beat dredsen which is playin for the 2A ball !an guess wat we beat huntingdon so grow up an stop talkinn bout yals schedule, tht does not add points or take off points on tht score board if tht was so then huntingdon would have been 100-0 before the game started..an yes the lil ole WC team does have the speed to run with ur boys WC beat Huntingdon on a night that Huntingdon had several players playing hurt, but thats the name of the game. But if you think WC could beat Milan you need to get your head out of the clouds.Don't know if WC could beat Dresden. You should get Rice to schedule Milan next year I'm sure Morris would be all for it. GO PIRATES!!

U are right, but it wasn't the veer, it was also a dropped pass in the endzone right in the numbers, a missed FG, and also a personal foul call . Tornadopride
Hey Wayne County, how is your field goal kicker...can he hit from 35 or closer. S P won't have no field goal kicker I don't think. They didn't think they would ever need one. Also, they remember a number ...hummmm...#27 from Union City who set a all time state record in all 6 classifications on times of rushing at ( 47 ). Basically running the ball right down their throats. Union City had two other touchdowns called back also. Just go up there...don't worry about their little pregame show they do...if they still do so and take care of business. Play your game til the end...it will work. Don't get me wrong, South Pitt is very good but so is Wayne County. This should be a really good game. Good luck to you Wayne County. TonyHorton91281
We are back after back to back appearances for the first time in school history. These guys have a very special opportunity next Friday and I couldnt be more proud.. I talked to the other Allen and I think he is going to be ready to go. Having him back will be huge for us and make us even more flexible. Sky is the limit for this team when we are healthy. Look forward to seeing us go out with a Bang. Oh and I def agree with Pirate Mike. No way that UC team would move the ball on this years defense. Alot of these kids played then as Sophomores. I look forward to seeing Wayne County in person. They have to be pretty solid to knock off Huntingdon but I still dont see them beating SP.

It was called smashmouth football...running right at you and if you don't remember. Your team came in like all they had to do was show up. Yep..show up and get your Silver ball. No, we aren't there this year but i can pull for a team and know about yours. Wayne County is the real deal. In 2009, we beat Wayne County to play South Pitt. Wayne County could have beaten you that year also. Wayne County can throw...throw...and run...and run. so be ready Black and Orange, Wayne County will be ready to play.
