Looks like you and Hermit will be watching alot of football this week then. I'm headed down tommorrow with some high school buddies to watch CAK, and Powell (team that put my team out in the quarters) then staying and watching My Devils and seeing if Maryville can stay on the field with Whitehaven (them memphis boys think they are to athletic for em)

Going to a two back set and run the triple option. Stewart can give to Hall off tackle, go round end himself or pitch to Shuffler wide.

IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!

In all honesty, I believe the State Championship game was last Friday in Greeneville.

Take away a wetarded block in the back on the first possession play and 5 good Giles plays and it's a spanking!

Took a prior week 300 yard runner completely out of the picture shut down the best quarterback we have faced all year.

Not really worried about this kid from Maple wood.

He may get lucky but he won't get far!

5 plays? Really? Spanking? Giles has almost 350 yards offense and you give them credit for just 5 plays?

Never strapped up did ya?

Now old man, he could be referring to 5 plays that kept Giles drives alive... There was some masterful play calling on 3rd and 4th down for the Cats.

Maybe so Barb but I was really wondering where the "spanking" came in. We both know only 4 or 5 plays make a difference in a close game. Giles went up against a seasoned team loaded with fine football players. Scratch two turnovers and it's a 7 point game at best. Greeneville was the best team but there were not marks on our butts!

Well yes, I did actually.

Sure I wasn't as good as you.

And yea. 5 plays.

Come on, it was a good game for a change.

Do you remember the score?

Add another one for the block in the back and take away two for Giles big plays and, YES it is a spanking.

No matter how many yards they had.

Point is not who's better than who. Have swagger. Have confidence. But, a perennial program respects solid competition. I spoke to many after the game. #5's dad was one. Evidently they had better seats than you....or they actually watched the game.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
