Seems like we got it done just fine with the local boys in 2011...

C'mon Barb, call it what it is. 8 of your starters if you played by our rules would be ineligable to play. By your rules you get to raid your district teams for their best talent to play on your squad. Just recognizing it for what it is.

There wasn't 8 starters that were OOZ students at GHS so your statement is false but nice try. Make GHS a closed zone schools and you would just see people moving to the city so they would still play for GHS. GHS academicaly is better than the county schools (Sad but True).

We all play by the same rules...we don't "raid" the district. It's called choice. Greene County is blessed with 5 fine schools and they ALL have ooz students.

That number came from one of your supporters in an earlier thread.

all is good since you been gone, and will be great if you never comeback!bobcats are workin hard to get to the top of the mountain.they got a real shot at bringing home that gold ball in 2012.

Well, since my other cats couldn't slam jam their way into the state tournament I guess I'm back into the swing of football season. Didn't know if he'd quit and came back and took it out on our boys by making them practice a few "early" days or not. Thanks for keeping me updated. :thumb:

Since you brought up bball, what do you do with those timeouts that weren't used in the last game. 3rd quarter would have been a good time for 2.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
