phishhead
Who do you guys think are the frontrunners for 5a Mr.Football? Abe Felix jumps to mind, but I don't know any stats? Turner @ Blackman and Henry @ Riverdale would be, but injuries knock them out. Who else? Stats?

boneal52
I'd bet on Abe Felix taking it home. Contenders being Josh Reffegee of Franklin and Austen Everson of Brentwood.

Dont forget Meadows also has over 294 yards in punts returns and 2 td's and 356 yards in kickoff returns. That gives him 1352 total yards and 10 td's. Also to mention his 4 int's on defense. Hes also thrown for over 50 yards and 2 td passes. [Edited by Bucs on 10-16-02 9:52P]

fan11
A lot of season left - 3 regular season and 5 playoff games. However, Austen Everson of Brentwood already has 420 Rushing and 930 passing for 1,350 total yards (according to Tuesday's Tennessean) compared to Gallatin's QB-Johnson at 435 + 347 = 782 total. (As a Junior, Everson had over 900 and 1800 - so he's on track for similar numbers.) Both Teams will probably meet again this year. Who is Abe Felix and what are his stats? boneal52
Abe Felix is the TB at Houston. Last season was a finalist who had 373 carries for 2,601 yards and 27 trips to the endzone. Through October 5th this year, he had 155 carries for 1,091 yards and 17 scores. With a team that will go deep in the playoffs, he will have many more nights to @@@@ up yards. The Fri., October 18th edition of the Memphis Commercial Appeal has Abe Felix listed as the Shelby County/Metro area leading rusher. Through 7 games he has amassed 1,325 yards on 184 carries giving him a 189.3 YPG average. He's scored 20 TD's through these seven games. Personal note: I've seen this young man play every time I go to the Whitehaven/Houston game. He carried the ball 47 times for 238 yds in this years game. He's not a big guy, about 5'-8" and 165 lbs +/-, and that's being liberal on his height. He's as quick as an alley cat and fast as lightning. He's a whole lot stronger then he appears and he's a very durable RB. He runs up the middle very effectively as well as around the corner. Barring injury, look for some more big numbers from Felix. kwc
