Does TSSAA try to divide evenly(ex.115 in A, 115 AA, 115AAA)

or do they have a target enrollmment (ex 540 divides A and AA, 1050 divides AA and AAA)

The game I was going to got rained out so trying to predict 2013 classifications will relieve bordom.

 

 

They take the numbers then divide by three to begin things. A few schools move up on their own due to keeping rivalries, avoiding teams, or travel purposes, some add programs or begin a new school during the classification period which changes the numbers a bit. It will be hard to guess where the teams at that edge, roughly 520 and 1050, will fall in the upcoming reclassification since there are several schools opening, mostly charter schools, and who knows yet which will have athletic programs. The more of them that do, since most are small, the more schools on the edge will be pushed up.
