Bearded does a group of young players, Walsh is very very good, but she is the only one who can score. Both of their point guards are pretty weak.

 

Farragut looked very strong and deep, pressed the entire game, will be very good . They are tall at all spots.

 

Maryville is smaller but all the girls are working hard and they are scrappy.

 

William Blount looks like they will struggle , might be a team that gets better as the season progresses .

 

Heritage will be better , they are young and scrappy shoot a lot of 3s and physical defense

 

Thanks for your views, as I watched most of them this summer I would agree

 

As far as the rest, "that's why we play the game"

 

I just hope all girls stay healthy this year.

Ok lets do it this way, who will be the top 4 in the district. (nobody agrees on the placement)

 

My guess: (this is the way everybody is we all have a guess)

*No Specific Order*

 

Maryville, Heritage, Farrgut & Bearden

 

Farragut: good outside and inside (strong in all areas)

Heritage: very strong defense (still young) **Sleeper this year**

Maryville: has and will always find ways to win(only thing not as strong inside as they were)

Bearden (Catholic, don't see them beating Bearden): Very Quick , but it all depends on the bench

A lot of folks are picking William Blount down at the bottom. Understandable, knowing they lost a ton of seniors year. But you heard it here first, this year's team will be in the top 4 in this district by the end of the year. Those seniors last year overshadowed some really, really good young talent. Not trash talk, no downing or taking away from any other teams in the district, but check me back on here come tournament time and see if I am right.

Catholic has a transfer who won a state championship in West Virginia and has some offers from D-1 schools.

Is the transfer one of the CAK girls retuhning home?

Also heard Heritage may get a good post via transfer.

Both these schools may contend for district with these transfers.

With new coach ,,,,less infighting....you may be right.

Cause there's alot of talented girls at William Blount.

Don't think we could get any of those heathen CAK girls to transfer or return to Catholic but we might make an exception for Anna Hammaker. LOL

LOL Say a conversion might be in order?.. I think the poster is talking about Bianca but I don't think thats confirmed.

 

Anna had a good summer and played some with the Philly Belles,Mike Flynns (blue star) exposure team

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces………. One can run faster than my lawnmower in fifth gear…… a few will be disappointed come November that they jumped ship and went down to that sewage facility……. You can bet the lawnmower on that.

      I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
