I know you ain't talking to me. I put the 1A teams out here. The east is Gordonsville or Greenback's to lose. The west is Union City or Huntingdon's to lose.

Ambassador when i make remarks like that I dont include you. And I know it wasnt just SP posters too. This will be a great and hard fought 1A saeson across the state. I truly feel like the west ahs a great opportunity to bring back to back Gold Balls home for the first time in a while. In Fact Im counting on it.

PuHo! LoL

No sandbagging, SP isn't as good as they have been. They are allowing about four scores each game against below average teams. A lot of work to do if they want to be in the conversation of Greenback and Gordonsville.

We may be giving up some points but Greenback and Gordonsville better be able to put a lot up cause we can and will.

I think the west 2 teams are going to be great barring they stay healthy. We are at least going to get one gold ball this year I believe. Don't know much about Greenback (not the best knowledge with the east) but Gordonsville will be a tough opponent for sure, still think Union City & Huntingdon could both make them earn it. We will just have to wait and see.

Dont know anything about em. What type offense do they run? What is thier record? Give us a reason to look at em. Tell us thier story.

From what i read out of the(murphy fair book),they return 5 starters on D and 2 return on offense(two linemen). They will have to grow up early to be a contender this yr,alot of good 1A teams to compete with!

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
