If he were my kid he wouldnt play. Ofcourse Im not in that situation and can be objective but I think that is the right decision. I hope that his long term health is wieghed more here than this one game. Im certain it will be. Either way its gonna be a tough game for my Tornadoes.

I think it will be a tough and very interesting game for both teams and fans alike. Styles are so contrasting it makes it particularly interesting. We are much different in some ways from last year due to the coaching change and from what I hear your team is pretty much the same except much, much better.

I would say thats fair. We havent done well against tough competition but I expect that to change. Our guys must step up and play defense. Thats it.

We have allowed lots of points. I hope that's due to the competition we've been playing but I'm very concerned about our inability to slow people down.

Maybe we can play keep away and control the clock long enough to win. That may be our plan. You never know though Coach Bowling likes to shock people sometimes. he can be ticky like that. But no matter what we must D-up.

The word around here is that he will play but I guess we won't know until Friday night. We have good speed but Lake County has more. How is your passing game? I guess with Hyde and Company you don't have to pass much.

UC wouldn't beat Peabody with Hyde and certainly has litle chance without him....I would be shocked to see Hyde play this week and highly doubt he plays against LC the next week. Hope he can get well by the playoffs and that is assuming UC can make said playoffs. UC is likely a 5-5 football team at this point. If they can get healthy and figure out how to play a little defense they might be dangerous come playoff time. UC has a LOT of work to do to become a decent defensive team.

I dont agree with everything you just said but I do agree about the defense. Ever since Coach Kennedy stepped back from being the D-coord we have not had a defense to speak of when it comes to tough competition.

Union City is a good football team with a great tradition. UC will be fine without Hyde if that's the case. This game will be a war. I personally think UC will win at least 6-7 games. With a healthy Hyde they may win 8.

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
