I think I've seen this thread about 5 times in the past year.

LOD complains about Riverdales coaching, compares teams to great teams of past, somebody mentions Maryville, Maryville then pretends they don't recruit. Then Riverdale goes out and makes a deep playoff run but loses to Maryville and then this thread starts all over again.

Are you the Blaze fan that has shown up at the Maryville game the last couple of years on Thanksgiving weekend wearing the Orange/Blue Blaze jacket? On second thought, probably not. That guy is probably a Maryville transplant.

Maryville is where they are due to preparation, planning, leadership, involvement, and the commitment to keep all those things at the elite level. Players are attracted to that and find their way there. Players buy in and do their job. A good player that is in the right position, and plays with the right fundamentals, will almost always win over a more talented player that lacks discipline. Maryville has that formula down to a science.

It's up to everyone else to catch up.

I'd prefer to do this after the season. There's a lot of football to be played.

I would to, but unless the current coaching staff wakes up the team it will be here much BEFORE any of us wants it.

To many folks say do not put pressure on the staff as they are doing their best. Unfortunately their best does not appear to get the job done.

Like I said, time to either step up or step aside.

    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
    • I heard it was ugly.  Coach Harig and the Redskins demolished what is left of the Dragon Wagon.  At this point, it is not certain that Clinton will even be able to field a football team for 2024.  No way the coach keeps his job, transfers gone, nothing left.  Back to the stone ages for the Dragoons.
    • Not even close, changing over 1000 grades?  Head coach changing grades to keep players on the field?  Not the same.  They will give Lieutenant Flip Flops the "Opportunity to resign"  right after graduation if not before.     Negative, the juvenile court judge blew the whistle.  Clinton admin, teachers and coaches started this fire.  Been going on for 4 years now according to Jones, one of the teachers that was fired.  This is truly pathetic.   The Dragon Wagon is #### up in the ditch down on highway 61 down there near The Spur.  Reap what you sew.
    • What ever happened to the #93 rb that came in and did well last year when yalls RBs we’re going down?
    • Going to be a rough season for coach Egghead and the hawks. Everyone picking the under
