District 12A

Starting really get into the district schedule, so we should start seeing how things will play out for the district. I know some teams still have a few injured so Im sure that will make a difference when everyone gets healthy.

Cwood beat WC like a drum Tuesday night. PC comes to WC Friday & WC goes to Loretto Tuesday so things will be some what clear by the end of next week.

Stown travels to Loretto Friday night. This will be first game this year that Loretto will have the whole team healthy and able to play.

Summertown 51, Loretto 49. Great game! Summertown finally showed up in the second half. Should give momentum going into this District stretch. Seth Wright played an awesome game, by far the best of the season!

And like always with Loretto you never know what team is going to show up. Some days we look really good and some days really bad. Trouble is they can never put anyone away and cant close. Stown did play good at times, hit shots when they needed them and better than Loretto did. Edited January 12, 2013 by RedTang

Summertown has had a fairly solid defensive effort in most of the games played this season. Even the best teams we've played didnt run away from us until midway into the 3rd to 4th qtr. Depth is part of that issue.

Lot of young talent, but not ready for this level of play.

The weak part of their game has been offensively and a gross amount of turn overs due to ball handling issues.

Looks like all we try to do is shoot the 3 from the corner, over and over and over and over while mixing in some low percentage forced shots. If we shot enough eventually somthing will go in. Dont really know what kind of offense Loretto runs but our shooting percentage cant be that high. They should be doing a lot better with the talent they have.

Trojans did the same last night versus clifton. Shot bad in the first half and went in tied at 25 with the Lions. Came out on fire with a 26-3 run to open the third. Trojans scored 51 second half points. Led by as much as 30 a couple of times. The threes made the difference.

So Stown now sits with 2 district wins....is it beyond possibility they get 2nd or 3rd? They played WC even up the first time as well as vs PC....if the sweep those 2 along with beat Loretto and Clifton again that puts Stown at 6 wins in the district.....thoughts???????

If they come out agressive and move the ball well, I believe that summertown could very easily come away 2nd or 3rd in the district. Would deinitely make a statement if we could split with the trojans! Tuesday night is a big night!!
