What are the odds of a public school winning a championship in 2A for the next 4 years. I'd bet the ponderosa that one of those 3 schools win the championship at least 3 of those 4 years. Trousdale is the only public school that might have a chance. Also someone posted the champions of the past few years, take out Alcoa (which several of those years was vs Goodpasture) is an open zone school. Does anyone want to wager on the chances of a public in the state this year? I doubt it, if there wasn't an advantage why are so many good athletes parents sending their kids to privates?

More resources, better facilities, better education, and coaches who are allowed to coach full time. Same goes for the three main OZ schools. I would argue that the OZ schools even have an advantage over the privates because of their smaller "geographic territory" and lower tuition. In the end it all comes down to money and how the governing body of your school sets its priorities.

Better education.

That's why we're there.
