South Pittsburg at Gordonsville (Grider against this Marshall man)

I for one am not convinced of Gordonsville's invincibility, i.e. Smith Co, week 1. I do think the Tigers are the better team this year, but when you have gamebreakers like South Pitt, there is always the punchers chance. GVILLE must control the line and bottle in Lankford and Johnson. I think a very high scoring game is coming, the difference is that Gville will stop the pirates more than the pirates can stop Gville. I definitely dont see a blow out, i see a game of the ages..., epic!

Good logic and all valid points.

Good post PowerP. SP can stay in the game if and only if they play like they are capable and don't fumble like they have been prone to this season. Those types mistakes against the GMen and it will be embarrassing.

good post! I think this is very well put! Go Pirates - win lose or draw- I really enjoy highschool football. Looking forward to watching to great programs get it on.

Yeah he's such a diehard fan lol back to the game. First i want to say I have the utmost respect for the tradition at gordonsville. Sp is going to have to play mistake free football and if they do its going to be a classic Friday night.

How many games have you taken in this year Willy? How many do you take in on the average each season? I attend all SP games with the occasional exception of a Whitwell type team.

I am a football fan, when SP doesn't play I go watch football. I have seen Gordonsville in person a few times this season just like I have the past several years.

Ambassador always using good sense. I never said this game last night would be close. SP will have to play flawless to have a chance. That's my opinion. They haven't come close to playing that way this year though.

Ambassador you are right they will have to be flawless but the good sense part umm........im not so sure you've conquered that one yet but keep trying you'll get there. We all have faith in you.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
