Columbia vs Beech (This Stone man against this Crabtree man)

Beech wins this going away. Quite possibly it is the first of 3 in a row for Beech. Hurd will be a senior next year and the current sophomore class was very good as freshmen.

Do you think that next year's Beech team will be as good as this one? With the number of seniors that they have, it is tough to imagine that they could be as dominant as they are this year. Anyway, I hope the Bucs get the win this Friday night

I agree that Beech wins this one going away, but 3 in a row?

Beech will still have Hurd and Carter next year, which gives them an advantage over everyone, but Henry County will make noise as well over the next few years. We, too, had a sophomore class that was very, very good as freshmen who will be juniors next year. Our rising senior class is no joke either. With Beech losing 15+ starters, 2013 might not be a slam dunk for them, even with Hurd and Carter. Their current offensive line is excellent, and deserves a good deal of the credit as well.

I just know they will ride him for every yard and carry he can get next season. I wouldn't be surprised if he were moved to QB just so he touches the ball every play. Barring some injury or Carter returning to alternative school again next year I just don't see anybody stopping Hurd. That's just my opinion and that and $6 will get you a combo at McDonald's.

I didn't mean to imply at all that you weren't correct in your assessment of how good Beech will be next year, so I apologize if there was a misunderstanding. I was actually just curious about whether or not you thought the Bucs would be as strong next season as they are this season, because that is a lot to live up to.

    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
