deadlift
I'll have to say Clarksville High looked pretty sharp in their first dual matches of the season on Tuesday night. They wrestled like a completely different team though. They still have the strength, conditioning and pinning ability of the past but they've added an arsenal from their feet. They were scoring from their own shots. Yes, Clarksville High was taking shots. The emphasis brought about by the new coaching staff seems to be paying off. FCFalcon
Deadlift- let's chat next Thursday when I come CHS about MS. Anyone in region 7 who wants to work out a middle school dual please let me know. I have quite a few guys from 105-152.
Sommers
So far I've chalked it up as the unknown as far as rankings go... This Clarksville team, along with the usual neutralizing strength, will be displaying moves 90% of This area has Not universally seen in HS. You'll think you're about to score and all of a sudden you're on your back. Chain wrestling at its finest. It should be interesting to see how close these team & individual rankings end up given the little if any votes Clarksville has received thus far. Beech may not win in duals, but they (being healthy) will be close in the individual IMO.

notscared
Clarksville has always been a powerhouse team. Im just trying to figure out the logic, that Clarksville is finally taking shots, and the last time Clarksville wasn't impressive against competition they face. Besides some of the East TN teams, Clarksville has always been better than most teams in the state. It is not like this is a first year program, They even own a State Title. That's all. Jeff Jordan was a great coach.

There are exceptions but when I think of the Clarksville style of wrestling I think of guys like Anthony Grady and Chad Isbell. Both exceptional pinners on top, but I would think most of their takedown's were off someone else's shot.
MatWizard87
For years Clarksville has not been known as a team that shoots. When they did it was ugly. Hopefully this year will have noticeable improvement. Notscared, I believe deadlift was saying that CHS would be doing stuff not usually seen in region 7. Everyone knows that CHATTANOOGA is where all the Tennessee wrestling Gods reside. Lowly everyone else is just playing catch up, right?
