It's pretty funny that some of you, who didn't have a dog in this fight, and are arguing the most, but don't know the rules. How do you call yourself a football fan, take time to mouth off on a football message board, but don't know that linemen can be 3 yards past the line of scrimmage on a pass? And don't know that if you're engaged with a man on the line you can block him downfield. And don't know that you can't run into the holder (just like you can't initially hit the snapper).

The video will show that our tackle was engaged in fan protection behind the line of scrimmage, blocked him about a yard past the line of scrimmage, and wasn't even in the end zone when the pass was caught. Since the play started on the 3, you have to be a moron to miss that call

Who said I was whining? I didn't say anything about the rest of the game. What's wrong with educating some football illiterate people?

StarsandBars and my other Maryville buddies. Tough loss. Great game! Prevo is fun to watch. From the pressbox watching mhs two point try it looked call was not for an olineman going downfield. Need to see all 11 shot on tape but our guess was one of the tight ends was covered by a wideout.

Knott sew daiv....He called hit on #50 az tolt two tha Mairvul sideline...Wuz a good gaim tho....Mairvul jist turned tha bawl ovur two much...... :popcorneater:

ND has to talk about CFB because his teams can't compete. Get off the high school message boards! Lulz.

White haven fans, sorry this numbskull has hijacked your victory thread. Once again, great game. Glad to take a silver ball home and be 14-1 and participate in the 9th straight title game. Making it ten next year and trying to win another 1st gold ball in a row.

Congrats to White Haven........#7 great back

Very Proud of this Maryville team. GQ and staff are the best, win or lose , they do it with class and lead these young men by setting a great example.

Look forward to next season and the next.... ....and so on......

With this coaching staff Rebels future looks bright, will always bring out the best in these young men.

Proud my sons are part of such a school and program.

Thank you Rebs for a great ride this year, so much to be proud of.

    • I have no clue if Derek tried to talk some since into his dad or not about staying here. All he is going to accomplish is going from the oven to the frying pan. If I were the coach all Ale would freze over before I set back and watched one of my good players leave without a fight.
    • If this is true, South Gibson is taking a big chance. Passing on an experienced coach for a guy who has never coached at the high school level is a high risk move, especially in that district and region.
    • Dorian Eskridge was HVA's best back, 2011
    • Jo Byrns was a very solid team last year. Imo, I thought they presented the biggest challenge for us on our path to winning it all last year. I expect them to be in the conversation and one of the final few teams playing in Murfreesboro
    • I'm not sure you understand anything if you think DB's career and AD's career are comparable.  This is a terrible take.   Not to slight AD, He was a good player and he got better as he matured after high school.   But Desean had over 8,000 yards in HS and was a two-time Mr. Football.
