TheBoss
LOL! You take a good player off a mediocre team & of course that team will miss them more than a good player on a good team. So that philosophy doesn't work, nor the philosophy of the best team having mvp. I think if you looked at starting a team & had your pick of any of these girls, the one that you would start your team with should be your vote for mvp. I would start my team with sissom! Judging by your name I'm assuming you're from Cannon Co. So that being said, you need to take off the blinders.
SportsWatcher931
No offense but if I'm starting a team and I'm having to pick between guards.....I'm always going to pick the guard that is more skilled. The more polished and well rounded IMO is Sissom.

All you've done is prove my argument. If taking a good player off a mediocre team makes such a difference then taking a good player off a good team should not make such a difference. Yet, take Sissom off her team and it falls just like SC would without Hackett. Sissom just happens to have better players around her at the moment. Sissom is an EXCELLENT player. Callie just takes top honors in my opinion because of her overall game. I would start my team with Hackett!
TheBoss
I also heard that Hackett went over 1,000 points last night in the first quarter? Can anyone confirm this? If so, that's a huge milestone to just be a sophomore and this season is still not over. Bright future for this young lady. Much respect. She needed 5 points as of last Saturday morning after the Gville game.

It's great to see her do this, especially as a sophomore. I also appreciated LA announcing it and their fans showing respect. I liked seeing that. Antwan
Callie made a pretty big statement tonight with 27 points in another win over Cannon. This district is tough top to bottom. Edited February 9, 2013 by Antwan

brutal
In tonight's matchup, Hackett dominated the game in all aspects. Hackett ends up with 28 points to Sissom's 22. Not only did she lead in points but had 8 assists and 10 rebounds. She guarded Sissom most of the night while Sissom guarded Hackett a minimal amount. With 1,000 points as a sophomore, look for big things from her. She's my MVP.
Justaballfan01
17 of hackett's 27 pts came from free throw line. Cannons team got only 10 fts total. Sissom went to line once on a tech call so her 22 came mostly from field goals. She also got her 1,000 pt during soph year. Both great players. Which proves my point that Hackett's defense is better than Sissom's. As you said, Sissom only went to the free throw line on a Technical which proves the efficiency of Hackett's defense. I agree that both are great players.
