I think this team without Howell matches up better vs. Upperman than they do against LA so id like to meet them in the finals but it would be super sweet to beat a LA team in the finals.

 

If some of the things I've heard are true, it will be near impossible to win a region championship even if we do beat BC. Not going to say anything now, but it will become clear by Thursday. Could just all be rumors, which I really hope.

Upperman is now in the same position that LA was the last time against us. Third game in an 0-2 series. I think they could very well pull it off.

I would agree with statement one. Upperman has a good shot at it. Neutral site (don't consider CHS a neutral site for UHS) and it's tournament time where anything can happen. It wouldn't be an upset because of the fact that UHS is a very quality team as well.

 

However, why say something like in statement two and then not reveal any details? If anything, you've kinda opened pandora's box and now the only thing DC faithful will be worried about will be these "rumors." Come on now...

I believe Bledsoe has the rare combination of having confidence that they can win while at the same time having the aforementioned chip on their shoulder that they are supposed to lose. We had 2 starters shoot terrible in first half against cannon and two other starters kept us in it, one by shooting and other by rebounding. As I have said before we have the opportunity to get the win and don't know that that has been said in a while at least in the region. Either way I have enjoyed watching this group all year and they have accomplished alot as far as Bledsoe County Men's Basketball is concerned.

2012-2013 Bledsoe County Men's Basketball

1st District Championship in 30 years

Least home losses ever at 2

1st region win, not sure how long ago, but would guess more than 30 years

1st 20 win regular season ever

I am sure there are more but you get the picture as to what this team has accomplished.

Just hearing that a couple of players will be on trips and will be unable to play Thursday. But like I said, could simply be rumors...DC really can't afford to be more short handed though.

Yep, I can see it now. Two players taking a trip in the middle of regional tournament. A place they have worked hard to get to for years. What kind of crap are you trying to start? Edited by rabbitranch

This is hilarious. For some of the players, basketball is NOT their main sport, regardless of where they've made it.

 

I don't have any "crap" to start. Guess I need to fact check with you before posting anything about DC basketball again....

Also, thank you to the other person who heard the same thing. Hope they aren't trying to start crap as well...

      Im asking everyone to keep roy whited and his family in your prayers. Coach whited won back to back state championships at white county in 98-99. He is very well liked and respected in this area. For those of you that dont know he went missing 3 days ago. No one knows where he is. His truck was found in a rural part of the county. Thanks again. We are all very concerned.

      West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.

      I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.

      I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!

      Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
