37-35. Grundy had a good look at a 3 pointer at the buzzer but missed as time expired. Both teams are young, I think 1 senior each among their leaders. 2, 3, and 4 might have long nights. I think 1 has a shot.

I'm picking LA to win the tournament this year and Cannon to come in 2nd. Should be a good game tonight though between LA and DC. Good luck to both teams !

Well in the post-season anything can happen but Grundy lost to DeKalb by 21, Upperman by 39, Cannon by 31 this year. So I think @ home LA will be just fine.

On top of that Grundy beat Chatt. Christian twice during the regular season….so I’d say Cannon Co. will have a good showing in Woodbury as well.

If I was a betting man I’d take the “over†in both games LOL.

Personally Bob, I think York is just as talented on any given night as LA/CC. But, inconsistent play and all has hampered them. I would give them a good shot at advancing. Same with Upperman...if Kat Carter and Hull get going, it will be an all 8-AA Semi-Final night.

York would be my choice by 10+. Bledsoe Co. hasn't had to face a defense all season like Upperman is capable of playing. I like Upperman in a close one. Edited February 19, 2013 by rabbitranch

Upperman is the only question mark. DeKalb beat Notre Dame handily this season also. I've seen Bledsoe and they have the talent to beat UHS, it just depends on what Lady Bees team shows up.

Notre Dame was embarrassing almost for DeKalb fans as to how easy it was. I could not believe the team we were playing had as good of a record as they did at the time. Clean sweep for 8AA in girls and boys it would appear. The Upperman game is the only question mark for the girls.
