How does this turn out?

Quarterfinals:

Sale Creek at Boyd

CSAS at Van Buren

Whitwell at Grace

Silverdale at Marion

One side of the bracket is very weak after CSAS being upset in the district. Whoever wins CSAS vs. Boyd wins the region. Should be interesting. I believe it will be CSAS and Grace in the region finals...

Boyd beats Grace for the 4th time after all 4 5A teams win this weekend to form the Semifinals!!

CSAS is definately more talented than Boyd. These teams haven't met since early January when Boyd won. CSAS played that game without their leading scorer. CSAS is a very different team now. Yes, I know CSAS laid an egg vs. Grace but maybe that woke them up. Boyd will definately have all the pressure on them. It will be interesting to see how they react to being in an unfamiliar position. They haven't been to the region semifinals in a while. CSAS has been to the region semifinals every year since 2002. They have won 7 of their last 9 region semifinals games since rejoining single A. We will see how it turns out when the lights come on Tuesday.

All you district 5a fans have a right to voice your opinion on the weakness of district 6a and you may very well be right as to all four 5a teams advancing. But then again you could be wrong as evidenced by sale creeks sweep of grace this year and van burens win over CSAS in Chattanooga. Boyd, to me is the strongest team, but I would not count out any of the other teams at all, it is tournament time, and we all know that anything can happen.

You must be talking about the boys because Region 4 on the girl's side is the best in the state. Boys up here are pretty good as well this year

Well naturally I am talking about boys, since this is the boys basketball board.. Not to be a smart alec.

And I would have to respectfully disagree with you on that. There are 10 teams in Region 4. 7 of them have losing records. One is at .500. And two sport gawdy records while playing cupcake schedules.

Clay County's is rated 106th out of 111 teams. Aside from a win against Macon County (the only team the Bulldogs have beat that has a winning record) at the start of the season, their next best win was Clarkrange IN Celina.

And out of all of Watertown's wins, their most impresive would probably be against a 14-15 Eagleville squad at home.
