D8AA sweep of R4AA

Livingston, Magnet, Macon, and Smith all will be VERY strong next year and depending on politics in Fentress County, York could be just as strong. So there are five teams that will be TOUGH! (Also have Cannon and Upperman like always.) What does this other district have that would change our minds about another possible sweep?

LA will be the team to beat and a state title contender.

York may have a tough season next year, losing the players that they have.

I look for McWilliams to have UHS right back where theyve always been..

Apparently the talent moving through Macon County has been unreal lately and theyre supposed to be getting even better.

Smith and Central will be a year older, wiser, and stronger.

Any team with Sissom and Walkup, among others, will be a competitor.

Im excited to see how DC fills their losses. Hopefully they can still keep playing everyone else closely and win some games.

8-AA will be much better next year, imo. I definitely think its safe to say that the 4th place team will NOT be as offensively inconsistent as this years Upperman team. I mean them no disrespect, but they got where they did because they peaked at the right time and got an upset.

    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
