Tomorrow night's Sectional matchups will send 8 teams to Murfreesboro to compete in the state tournament. Here is a look at the Sectional matchups:

 

Knoxville Regions 1 & 2: Section 1

 

Fulton (22-8) at Sullivan East (27-7)

Elizabethton (25-7) at Gibbs (24-8)

 

Chattanooga Regions 3 & 4: Section 2

 

DeKalb County (30-6) at Howard (26-5)

McMinn Central (28-4) at Livingston Academy (27-8)

 

Nashville Regions 5 & 6: Section 3

 

Spring Hill (21-7) at Christ Presbyterian Academy (33-2)

East Nashville (26-7) at Cheatham County (27-3)

 

Jackson/Memphis Regions 7 & 8: Section 4

 

Sheffield (19-7) at Jackson South Side (25-3)

Liberty Tech (26-8) at Mitchell (22-7)

if CPA wins state again this year (which would not be shocking) then they should win again next year as well, because they have no seniors (unless they are on the bench) all the players who start are juniors except for the freshmen braxton blackwell who is jalen lindsey's replacement and i personally think is better then him

If DeKalb beats Howard it wouldn't surprise me. Have you not seen them play? They did lose their best player last week due to injury but their hustle makes up for it. If you get a chance go watch them

DeKalb is very capable. Played without three starters in the region championship and jumped out to a 30-7 lead at one point. Just ran out of gas. Will have a player back tomorrow. It wouldn't be crazy. Difficult? Yes. Impossible? Not nearly.

yeah and when you walk into that gym and it is 300 degrees you will be out of gas before you start. who is the coach at dekalb? i hope he practiced you guys with the heat turned up in the gym...

Did you read my post? We led that whole game without THREE players until late in the third. We will not be as short handed tomorrow. I feel like we have some good match ups. We'll see what happens.
